We've definitely seen officials gift championships (refs called a non existant touch foul on Seton Hall in the closing seconds to give Michigan a title. Gave Duke a win over UNLV in the same fashion). But the most absurd officiating I have seen for an entire tournament was 2017 UNC. Literally carried in five of the six games.
