I have a sneaking suspicion that the NCAA will try to make an IU-UK regional matchup happen in Louisville.

Watching Ulis and Yogi Ferrell go at it would be fun.

Would be a good matchup between the two teams. Be interesting to watch the matchup between the cats frontcourt vs. Troy Williams and Bryant.

We've shown we can be pretty good at shutting down teams from 3, and they aren't exactly known for their tough defense. We are. I'd like the Cat's over them. If we get a decent seed and end up in that regional I wouldn't be surprised at all to see it include both them and UL. Just as it did in 2012. Which made that run even sweeter. Doesn't get much better than beating UL in the Final 4.

You're assuming they make the tourney. With Crean that team could collapse and lose their next five games and I wouldn't be Shocked.

Kentucky would have the edge in my opinion. When you look at Indiana, they are very perimeter oriented. They don't have a much on the inside. Ferrell is a good college point guard and they have a couple other guys who can drive and finish, but these are things the Cats have proven they can handle well. Add to this the fact that Indiana under Crean doesn't play defense, and it adds up to a UK edge.

Cats - better talent, better depth, better Coach, better fans....just better all the way around. Edge Cats

IU does have a pretty good perimeter game. But, I think they would be over-whelmed by our quicker, more athletic, and better-coached guards and wings. On offense, our guards would penetrate at will. Plus, IU is turnover-prone. End result: UK 82, IU 68

we'd likely score 90. but i predicted this too. i think it will happen in the midwest sweet 16 if both hold serve. i see the set up happening like that. the ncaa does seeding almost strictly based on story line/history. when you get use to it knowing it's not fair (screwing many teams not just uk, even though we are usually in a tough region regardless) you actually can embrace it and enjoy it. we ain't losing to the clapettes. they'd literally have to make 20 threes. it might end up being the second round. you just kind of feel it though. there's no attractive rematches for uk besides maybe duke that is worth any ratings, and i think people are tired of seeing us play unc and ul all the time. maybe we'll get duke in our region too.
