If that’s the sort of exchange that has you so bothered then you might be a bit too thin-skinned for message boards.
More of the thread. I think it’s clear who got offended on that one and it definitely wasn’t me. Am I too soft for message boards? Probably, that’s a personal issue that I need to address but I don’t think the thread @Cold Stout Beer is referencing quite went the way he remembers it. You can go back to the thread where he even goes on a monologue about how I’m the reason posters don’t post and all kinds of stuff, way too much for a joke. One person made a harmless joke about not watching a volleyball game and he got way too upset over it. Here you go:
I hold no ill willto Cold Stout Beer and I still don’t understand his overreaction. I gave him back a flavor of dismissiveness back but yeah he flew off the handle. For what it’s worth, I have tried to be a better poster and be careful about how I speak to people thanks to recommendations by others who pointed out how pretentious I can come off.
P.S. On my way off this page, I’ll make this an official apology to Cold Stout Beer or anyone else I offended. I’m not the only one with thin skin clearly but I can at minimum admit it. I know it is the curse I have. Help deleting would be great

No I genuinely think it’s best that I delete my account. I’d love for someone to tell me how. I’m glad my inability to healthily interact is funny to you though. I don’t think I need to have this account and just want to delete it. Any help is appreciated
Just take a break from the board. We've all done it over the years. Shoot, after that loss to KST in the tourney I had to step away for a couple of months. It happens. Best thing to do is just take a break for a bit, and use the ignore button liberally.
Come back and assess the situation, find out who the really bad ones are and ignore us. No wait...I meant to say them. Mudda Fadda kindly disregard this ledda.

I used to argue on here way too much. Hardly ever do anymore. Most of the people I had epic arguments with are gone...seems that way at least.
I haven't really argued on here in quite a while now. But the board in general isn't as divided as it was the past few years. People are pretty much all in on Pope; the expectation of some is what will lead to occasional arguments now.

OP, you poor thing can't believe you have to go through this. I hope that you can find peace during this troubling period of your life. I know people saying mean things on the internet can be tough to deal with, but hang in there buddy you'll make it out the other side a better man.
You'd hate to work where I work. Some of us just go around hugging one coworker after another. It looks and feels forced. I rarely do it especially when it comes to hugging a superior. It nauseates me watching it. Some of them expect you to tell them good morning at the beginning of each shift, and every meeting starts with "HAPPY [insert day]!!!!". BARF
I rarely hug my family. They would not know how to act if I hugged them every day. Besides, if I did hug my daughter daily, her dog (half pit) would intervene. I have been bitten three times for messing with her (over a period of 6 years). Not bad really, broke the skin once. She is just protecting her. Last time she come after me my Pyrenees mix rushed in and got between me and the pit. She is a big girl at 144lbs, so the pit backed off.
Looks like somebody was thirsting for attention last night.Evidently, this issue is so important to him that he felt the need to post it on the football board as well.

Came here thinking this would be a haven for fellow Kentucky fans and likeminded individuals to discuss all these Kentucky sports. I read your post and thought about how your view of this board is really do different than what everyone encounters in their daily life.
As a coach, I would always take my freshman and have them write down everything they encounter in every game, no matter what.
Every game: you have to deal with coaches, players from other team, your teammates, weather, field conditions, umpires, fans, parents, and the only thing you have control over is how you respond to these. It is your response that everyone will focus on, not what brought our your response.
This board is like being a player in a game; you have to understand you have no control of anyone but yourself and how you choose to respond.
Then you go to work and deal with the same type of responses, environments, and such. People today feel their opinions are the only one that matters. You have a different opinion and all hell breaks out. The day of disagreement and having a conversation where you can actually learn something even if you don't fully agree are over.
There is not any other school whose fans are any different than ours.
If you are having a difficult time with this board, like many have said, take a break and catch your breath. Come back and be yourself, type what your feel and don't worry about what others say.
People need to respect what others feel even if they don't agree with them. There are plenty of posters on here I just skip over without reading knowing if I take the time to read what they write, I will get roused up so I choose not to read what they say. They have the right to their opinion and I have my right not to read them.
But if this board gets to you, good luck dealing with the other aspects of life.
Take a break, don 't watch any news, read a book, get a girlfriend, enjoy something then come back.
With all due respect, he has a problem with this board because this board has pushed back on his BS and now he's playing the victim, crapping on every poster here but a handful and crapping on the mod's. Who would feel sorry for this Karen?
