How to Delete My Account?

Came here thinking this would be a haven for fellow Kentucky fans and likeminded individuals to discuss all these Kentucky sports. However, I hate to say that I find a lot of the people on here either completely fake trolls or a lot of irrational crybabies. It sucks all the fun out of just being a fan when you see this toxic waste of space that goes on constantly. I feel like there are about three or four opinions you are allowed to have on this site and that’s all. Mods, you all created a safe space for trolls and brainless sad sacks. Congrats! I’d like to know how to delete my account off this cesspool of a website!

Shout out to some of the great posters I enjoyed reading from such as: Son of Saul, fox2monk, bkocats, Smashcat, aike and many more. Unfortunately, those types of posters are rare. Thank you to those who love talking what happens in the actual games without being a doomsayer.

Just take awhile off I’ve done it multiple times. Very rarely post anymore, but do pick thru threads for the legit content. Try to ignore the rest best I can. I get it tho tho is place is a shite show sometimes.

Just stay away. But I'd recommend just cooling off for awhile and putting 20 or so people on "ignore." This board CAN be made workable that way.

Sports are a in the moment thing man, there are certainly levels to it for sure. But at the end of the day none of this really matters, it’s a game, it’s purely entertainment. I troll some because there’s a group of 5-10 jackoffs on here that think they are better than everybody, and try to police shit. But for the most part I just say what I see. I enjoy your posts, and agree with you fox2monk and Saul are some of my favorites on here.

I second the ignore list. I'm sure I'm on quite a few of them, but if someone is renting more space upstairs then you're comfortable giving them, then silence them. Much better for your sanity and peace. I enjoy your posts.

It saves a lot of disappointment if you have more realistic expectations. I'm old and it took me a long time to learn it but the majority of people are not what one would describe "nice" or "good". Only a relatively small percentage of people are evil but the vast majority, including myself, are a mixed bag of good and bad. You really can't expect perfect behavior from people in the brick and mortar world and it's 10 times worse when anonymity is added to the mix.

I used to get mad a lot reading this board but things got a lot better when I started using the ignore option. They don't have to be a troll from another team; if somebody's posts make you mad for any reason you can put them on ignore and you won't have to read their posts anymore. I don't use it a lot but it's a way to just read the opinions you respect. While they are a minority, just like real life saints, there are quite a few nice and knowledgable fans that post here.

I would suggest keeping your account and just stepping away and lurking for a while.

Another poster suggested the ignore feature. That’s a good idea if certain types of posters get on your nerves.

Most people here are good posters. We also have a few rival trolls using UK handles, and let’s not pretend that there’s not a few around here who thrive on negativity and live for losses so they can show up and claim how smart and right they were about any given take they’ve ever had.

Is there a way for me to put myself on the ignore list? Sometimes I go back and read my stuff (I'll probably add this post to that list) and think, "I need to block this guy."

They are what they are. Been that way for the 23+ years I've been on here. People who read them and get mad aren't any better. People are posting literally in the heat of the moment, etc. Some of them are a bit insane, but I've learned to let people fan however they please unless they are cluttering up the entire message board.

I read a lot more here than I post. It's easy to discern the good posters from the bad. I don't like to ignore posters either but there's a few on there. You're not gonna read opinions that all line up with yours so it's a give and take with message boards. Lot's of good info/entertainment so I enjoy my time here.
