How mad is the rest of the world going to be?

Losing to a top 5 ranked Tennessee team by 1 point and then losing to LSU on the road in OT? I’ll take Bama over TCU all day.
Of course lol. Who did Alabama beat exactly? Barely beat TAMU, Ole Miss and Texas. Eff Alabama and Saban and this incessant BS to move them in spots they don’t deserve.

Bama doesn’t even have an argument over Tennessee. They’ve got two losses. Beat absolutely no one. Didn’t win their division.

At least TCU beat K-State in the regular season and lost in OT. They didn’t lose twice. Bama did. Bama lost to a now 9-4 LSU.

If you’re going to use the “only lost by __ on the road” then you better use the “only won by __ against TAMU, Texas, and Ole Miss.”

Flat out, Bama does not deserve shit.

You are NOT an Alabama fan, are you? You do NOT like them lol. To be fair, you make valid points this time. This was not a great Alabama season and could've ended with four losses.

No, I am not. They have got away with so much BS NCAA violations, got so much preferential treatment in polls, etc. They beat absolutely no one this year and struggled to even get where they did. No way a two loss team has any argument for a 4-team playoff.

They don’t even have an argument over Tennessee.

Tennessee shouldn't have an argument themselves. Losing to a very average South Carolina is sort of forgivable- getting obliterated is not. That's a deal-breaker.

And I’m not arguing for either one. Based on the whole season, I think it’s clear the four deserving are UGA, Michigan, TCU, and now Ohio State. They all have better records than everyone else, three made it to their conference title game.

That's what we'll likely see.

TCU is in, IMO. Rest of country is sick of SEC. It's a joke that 2 teams from a mediocre Big 10 get in but with playoff expansion prepare for O St, Mich, UGa and Bama being in it EVERY year. My guess is with 12 teams 3 from Big 10 and SEC get in every year. Gotta feed the TV folks after all

Two points is all that separates Alabama from being 12-0 and in the game today instead of LSU. TCU will get blasted if they put them in, just like Cincinnati did. Drop all the stats into the computer and let it pick the top 4.

I will say this:

Georgia would have liked to have gone ahead and played Alabama today.

It would have been their chance to eliminate them, while playing with house money (Georgia would still be in playoff with a loss).

If Alabama sneaks in, they are UGA’s biggest threat.

Clearly Bama is never eliminated. If they make it in this year over teams that beat them head to head, P5 teams with better records the playoff committee might as well say there are 3 spots open next year and 11 open when it goes to 12 teams.

Why should Bama get in over UT? Both finished runner up in their division, lost head to head against vols, both have 2 losses.
Yep. Bama has ZERO arguments. ZERO. No quality wins. Didn't win the division and they lost to Tennessee which has the same exact record as them.

To me, there's nothing controversial about UGA, Michigan, TCU, and OSU getting into the playoff. It's the most logical decision.

Yeah, and they're 11 points from having five losses.

What is it?
Both TCU and Bama have beaten Texas, and TCU just lost on a neutral field to the other good team they beat earlier in the season.
Bama was beaten on last second scores twice. Both were road games.
Tennessee isn't even considered because of the loss of Hooker.
Bama is a better team right now than TCU.
I'm not a Bama supporter, I'm just telling you that they are the 4th best team in the country. However, IMO Georgia and Michigan are head and shoulders above everyone.
And, having said all of that....TCU will still get in because the Big 12 will be given a seat at the table.

Unless TCU gets a late invite to the World Cup, I doubt the rest of the world is going to put forth any emotion into the happenings involving a college playoff.

I’m ready for 12:teams to get in. You settle it on the field.
Football season is gonna last until April! lol it’s gonna be fun watching a 12 team playoff, but the top 3-4 teams will still win it just like now, there’s not many Cinderella’s in football!

I’ve always liked the NFL playoffs and D2 or whatever it’s called today so at least most can’t say so and so didn’t get their shot at the big boys. Boise State comes to mind they had a few teams that might have been able to advance and a long way in recent history.

I say put the 4 best teams in, if that's 2 SEC and 2 Big 10, so be it. The playoffs are expanding to 12 teams in 2024, the rest of the country can enjoy teams like TCU or Cincy getting in and getting their asses handed to them then.

Explain to me how you can possibly claim Bama is one of the best teams based on their resume instead of their branding?

They aren’t. If you took that same resume and put it on like Penn State, no way you’d argue this.

Bama has not beaten a team with less than four losses.

TCU is one of the best teams in the country whether you like it or not. They have earned their chance and I think they’ll perform well.

Yeah so Alabama does have two losses.. but who’s in the Big 12? With Texas and Oklahoma being awful this year Kansas freaking state was the second best team in the conference. I would actually maybe argue Kansas State is just as good as TCU. TCU beat them by 10 at home and lost to them on a neutral site. Anybody who thinks the Big 12 was better than the SEC west this year is an idiot.

Lol. Ridiculous.

Bama’s best win is a one point win over Texas. LSU lost to FSU and a 4-win TAMU. Frankly, the SEC sucked balls except for like two teams.

Your hatred toward Alabama is obvious. What’s the best team TCU beat? If you had to bet your bank account on who’d win between Alabama and TCU you’d choose Alabama and you know it.

Well, they beat K-State which is a team with less than four losses, something Bama has not done.

They also both played Texas. TCU won by 7. Bama won by a last second field goal against a backup QB.

Oh, we’re doing Vegas odds to make excuses to give Bama the criteria to get into a playoff cause their resume doesn’t warrant it? Amazing the double standard that exists to propel Bama.

Simply put, who is Bama’s best win. That’s all you gotta tell me and then you tell me if that’s worthy of the four best resumes this season?

Would TCU had been 12-0 if Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M were on their schedule? The answer is NO!

So you just have hypotheticals because you can’t point to what actually happened on the field to justify. If your argument is “losses” then you’ve already lost your case. Bama didn’t beat anyone.

Did you think Bama would lose to Tennessee? Nope. Did you think they’d lose to LSU? Nope. We know you never think Bama can lose.

And listing a 5-win TAMU isn’t a good example of what ifs.

Yes actually I did think they’d lose to Tennessee cause at the time with Hooker being healthy Tennessee was the best team in the country. Bama was screwed during that game anyway. You never answered the question.. who you betting on, Bama or TCU? I fully expect you won’t answer that

Would’ve preferred 8 because 12 is ridiculous but it’s better than what we’ve had. I just think it makes the regular season meaningless for the power 5 teams.
How so? Most teams are not full strength for the entire regular season with some experiencing injuries at more crucial positions than others. Regular seasons are also very imbalanced schedule wise with some teams having very few tough conference opponents to deal with, some getting all their tough games at home while others have more tough road environments to deal with. You think TCU could go into Neyland stadium on Halloween night or the environment bama faced and only lose by 3?

Regular season will now be more as it should be, positioning, but a great reset come playoff time with any decent deserving team getting their chance to settle it where it should be, on the field.

Some of ya’ll wouldn’t know what a good football team if they bit you on the ass. Just because they happen to play in the SEC isn’t some great equalizer.

Just the other day someone was trying to argue with me we’d have beaten USC and Utah just because Utah lost at Florida by a handful of points the first game of the year. That’s not how any of this works.

Georgia or Michigan will blow out TCU by 30.
I don’t know that much about TCU, but Dykes is a great coach and they have a tough SOB at QB. I’m not going to discount them. I’m over Kirby Georgia teams already, talented but arrogant. I hope Michigan or TCU upsets them
