I hope he doesn't leave but that hasn't worked out for us on point guards after year two, but we will see, he has the starting job, I'll wait and see how he does[winking]

Anyone is crazy to assume he is staying for any amount of time after seeing all the players come and go the last few years. Completely up to him.

If Cal publicly states Tyler will leave early, why do you consider people confused when they echo his statement?
Calipari is the best coach in college basketball. He isn't a fortune teller. Calipari himself has guessed wrong about players. I won't give you the whole list, but he thought Jones and Cauley Stein would leave before they returned for another year. He thought Bledsoe, Goodwin, and Teague would return right before they left. There have been others. Conjecture about Ulis leaving early helps Calipari's recruitment of other guards. I am not saying that is Calipari's motivation, since I don't know. But Calipari is shrewd. It is popular on this board to get upset when people point out Ulis' strengths and weaknesses. If you point out that Ulis is 5-8, you get an immediate list of every 5-8 player that has ever made an NBA roster. But Ulis' size is an issue. He is a great college player, but I think he will have trouble at the next level guarding players 10 inches taller and 50 pounds heavier. He needs to find the right opportunity with the right coach, but even then it will be tough. What will determine his decision? The only reliable way to get guaranteed money is to be a 1st round draft choice. If Ulis can't be confident of going in the 1st round, I think he stays at Kentucky for 4 years. That's JMO. If I am wrong, that would be fantastic for him, providing he makes a roster.

I think we'll all have a much better idea of this in February. As of now, I think he'd come back for a third year.

I voted senior year but I'm not really sure of that. I think it will come down to weighing the type year he has versus the other point guards entering the draft year to year. I'd just really like to see him stay the full 4 years as I kinda miss getting to watch these kids grow as players year to year.

I totally understand your post and I do not disagree. At this point and time I do not see him being a productive NBA player if he left today.

My point was more on your statement calling people confused that think he will go early.

Cal has said he will go.
Tyler has said he would like to.
If he cannot further his draft stock, being a year or two older will not help him, is a strong argument.

In my opinion it is just crazy seeing kids go that are not lottery picks, I totally understand it, but it still crazy to me.

But after all we have seen, and the points being made, I just don't see why you would call anyone confused because they make this prediction.
