"We"? Your veiled attempt to portray yourself as a UK fan is so obvious it isn't funny. Every post you make is downing UK, it's fans and it's coaches in a passive aggressive way. I don't get what anyone gets out of pretending to be a fan of a program on message board. It’s too bad our Wildcats were absolutely humiliated—-that’s an understatement—-Saturday night. against our arch rival ( but since we are 4–42 in the last 46 years against them, they do not consider us a rival). I told my brother-in-law we really are not jealous of their football program at all. You can tell by the posts here.
The embarrassments were far and few between for our team and coaches. I must admit that Bru McCoy trolling Stoops ( limping like he was going to go off the field making the all-time leading Kentucky football coach in terms of (( not very many) significant ) wins substitute , and get caught with 18 men on the field, then whining and complaining to the referees that he wasn’t allowed to substitute.
Another great scene Saturday night was our # 1 in the draft quarterback, calling the team back onto the field, absolutely sure of himself that the interception he had just thrown was going to be reversed upon review…. then looking bewildered when it wasn’t . This goes along with a long storied history … an outright SEC championship in 90 years(-even then we lost to UT 7-0.
Other schools in the SEC like Bama, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn would have loved to have named their field after a grocery store and have it printed on the field ( since Kroger also owns Fry’s, I thought Fry’s field sounded better)
They also envy the incredibly hard nonconference schedule Kentucky always schedules. Playing at Akron in the future is the wish and desire and envy of all of those schools…our fans love Akron in the fall, and is it sure to raise our strength of schedule..
At least our all world QB , soon to be drafted number one overall in the draft, and the dream quarterback of all NFL teams , can read a defense and never throws too late like Hendon hooker ( The mayonnaise in the coffee and eating banana peels helps him do that)..
Our game day atmosphere is so much better than the University of Tennessee’s, what with our always sold out crowds in our quaint 60,000 seat stadium… Sports illustrated on campus had to be wrong when they said the best place to spend a football weekend was UT. And I hope that Kirk Herbstreit never says “little Tennessee “like he did “little Kentucky” The other night on national television. What a compliment!
Hopefully Barnhart can get ESPN game day to come here for the first time in our history the next time we play Youngstown State, Eastern KY, N. Illinois in our home opener-what with our scintillating offense ( even though it does put a sleeping man into a coma most of the time). That would go along with winning the SEC east for the first time in our history.
Those puke orange hillbillies/rubes/toothless moonshiners ( one of my UT friends asked me if that was projection…but I did not know what he meant) Said Kentucky Football was an oxymoron ( I told him I did not know what that meant either, but I took it as a compliment).
Tennessee certainly did choke baseball last year. ( I have forgotten what place our Cats came in, I was still thinking about Saint peters,). Even though Tennessee won the SEC basketball tournament, regular season and tourney in baseball , and the commissioners trophy as the best all-around sports program in the southeastern conference, it was just a fluke. All of their sports programs are on the down slide. Just look at football this year ( their recruiting is sucking wind —-they only have the number three quarterback coming in due to that dirty NIL money…..glad we don’t do that ). Who would want to play in front of 110,000 people in an atmosphere like that where you can’t even hear yourself think ?
they obviously have not been to Commonwealth when we play Bowling Green.
And basketball— Hell Tennessee only beat number one Gonzaga 98 to 80 in an exhibition last week—-it’s our birthright — Saint peters be damned.

Even though those dreaded volunteers are going to be on game day for the third time this year, I’m hoping Gameday visits Lexington for the Vandy Kentucky game …. The atmosphere should be electric… No one will be thinking about basketball when that one kicks off. The only thing that worries me is that many people in Tennessee refer to Vanderbilt as Peterbilt since they merged with Peabody College. Scares me to play in the school with the word “Peter” in it after last basketball season
One last thing: Give StlCat a 💋… I can tell that he is struggling with the anger issues and is probably emotionally stunted. I know a good therapist, because God knows he needs one.
Basketball, at least, until the NCAA tournament, should make him feel better.

I think the main thing is UK not reacting appropriately to the knowledge UT had stolen hand signals and knew all the offensive play calls
They cannot calm down even three days later. This game was huge for them and they knew it. We mattered to them. They could not handle losing back to back at home to UK. This, in their eyes would undermine all the garbage they spew about being elite.
It’s obvious they will never forget the name of our biggest basketball upset. They will be screaming about St Peters for ever. Honestly I have no clue
who their biggest upset in any sport was. Like I said earlier “Rent Free”.

My late father used to say you can take the orange off of our fans and put it on Kentucky fans and put the blue of Kentucky on our fans and you would not be able to tell them apart. He’s right. I know there will be tons of posts about how that’s not true etc. etc. etc. but it is.

You might consider That Tennessee football has lived rent free not only in Kentucky’s football coaches heads for 50 years ( Stoops behind is so puckered up when he plays UT he just doesn’t coach like he does against other teams. Tennessee‘s horrible performance over the last 11 years is well documented .. why should your coach be 2–9 against UT) but definitely the fans. The best way to respond obviously is to not respond, but fans being fans, they feel the need to respond in an increasingly vitriolic manner.
What anyone writes From the University of Tenn side is pablum compared to what Kentucky fans write on our chat boards after you beat our ass in basketball…. ( as many know, Kentucky has beaten Tennessee in basketball more than they have beaten any other team, and Tennessee has beaten Kentucky in basketball more than any other team ). The abuse that I endured in Lexington for many years with my boys were growing up was unlike anywhere else. And it was always wait until basketball season. Which has occurred numerous times since the game Saturday — I watched the game with three Kentucky couples and three Tennessee couples…
I do this almost every year Kentucky week just to watch the responses. Obviously, I touch a raw nerve… because aside from the name-calling, most of what I have written is factual.
. The rent free aspect continues because of the responses that posts engender… like bringing up choking in baseball ( true… very true). But the below post crossed the line. All we have? We have a pretty good UT basketball program. We have a pretty good baseball program. We have 3 professional sports programs. And the only way we "screw this magical run up" would be with a loss to either Mizzou, SC, or Vandy, because I won't consider a loss to the #1 ranked defending national champions at their place a screw up.
I will give you that this has been a magical run so far through 8 games, and that even if I went full homer I would haver never predicted in preseason to be 8-0 at this point with a schedule that included @ Pitt, UF, @ LSU, Bama, and UK. I did say preseason that we needed to go 8-4 regular season to continue momentum in the program, and maybe we could get to 9-3 even. But I also knew that when adding UGA to the previous 5 games I mentioned that 6-6 was also a real possibility, and possibly even 5-7 with the @ SC, because SC seemed somewhat of a mystery with the adfition of Rattler and some other transfers.
If we don't make the CFP then yes, I will certainly be disappointed. But at the same time it has been a thrill to be in the national conversation again. I would expect the same is true for UK fans as UK was in that conversation in the offseason. That's what fans of all programs live for...for their program to be relevant. But regardless of how this season plays out, I will still be very excited about the future of the program. I would think UK fans would be too. 1 loss on the road to a favored team is not the end all for a program. It is how a team reacts to those types of losses. Last year when UK lost 3 straight yall finished the season with 3 regular season wins then a bowl victory.

First, only the UT fans are saying I am blaming the loss on an offside penalty not being called. I just asked why it doesn't get flagged for being offsides when a guy is lined up with his helmet over the ball. I never once said it was the reason we lost. We lost because we can't move the ball and any NCAA team that has 5 yards of offense in a half will lose no matter who they are playing.
Also, show me one place that I said we would be undefeated and I know you can't because I never said it. I felt the best case scenario was 9-3 with losses to UT, UF and Georgia but that is when we thought the offense wouldn't take this big of a setback. Lastly, if you aren't a troll then you are one of the most negative people ever because every post you make is critical of either our football team, basketball team, coaches, fans or state.

I was talking to a friend today he said he talked to an old time UK football player from like the sixties. He told me the guy said when UK was lined up he could tell it was a run or pass. I can’t see it but if he knows what about our opponents. I wish he would call CMS and tell him about this. Maybe something needs to be looked into.

There is an invention called the internet where you can re-watch games. You should try it. Specifically, go to 11:07 in the 2nd quarter, 1st and 10 @ the 30. The nose of the ball is spotted short of the 30. The center then moves the the entire ball across the 30. He did it many times….and it happens a lot in general. That would mean the actual neutral zone is at least a football length further back from where the center is holding the ball. Assuming that was the case in your still picture, the defender is not offsides.
