How far in the polls does UK drop?

Well, see ya next year softie lol.

further proves our fans aren’t ready to have a good football team.
You are right. But we have to get over the hump. We left a W out there like we used to. We’re soooo close. Gotta get after it for the rest of the year and keep building.

Bad take.

Just like always?

I’m 40 and I don’t remember us being in this position too many times. I’ve heard stories from the old guys, though. This is part of the process to get to where we want to be. Enjoy it. I know it sucks right now, but we ARE making progress, including today’s loss. These games are good for the program and great for recruiting.

We’re not there yet, but we will be soon. Trust the process
KY will never bring in the type of recruits to get better than second in the East. Probably won't end second in the east this year because of today's loss. We are going backwards. That's why folks are upset. Should have won this game.

Dude Missouri won the east a few years ago.

we are also NOT going backwards. We stepped on our tail today. That’s all. You are the reason we can’t have nice things

Today's loss won't affect our position in the east unless we win to TN and GA, which is likely, and was likely even if we won today.

You need to recalibrate your expectations. This is the golden age of Kentucky football. Enjoy it.
If this is truly the golden age and our peak was never winning the East much less a nattie then what the hell are we doing? What’s the point?

Well, somehow we dropped to 17…..

UPDATE: That was just a Fox Sports ranking early this morning. Still waiting on AP it appears. I still think we'll only dip to 10-12.

We’re #12 on ESPN’s week 5 power rankings. That’s about eight. We’re very much still within striking distance of the top 10 with a couple of home wins the next two Saturdays.

My logic is like this. Ole miss was supposedly the 14th team they beat the #7 so assuming ole miss jumps to around 8-10 they should assume that if ole miss is now #8 and had a last second game with KY then obviously KY shouldn’t drop that far 3 point road loss to # 8-9 let’s say.

with my theory I’m going to say 12.
but definitely just outside top 10. Let’s call it 11-13 officially with 12 as the pretty sure.

Saturday’s down south dropped us to 24th!!

Two other AP projections I have seen put us 12th and 13th.

I’m sticking with my guess of 14th.

What’s the point?
The point?

There will be football next Saturday, next year, and for years after our deaths.

We don’t throw up our hands and give up with a loss or losses.

The point is winning, and improving. We do aim for perfection, but that might not come, ever.

But it might.

We are far ahead of places we have been in decades. And we have farther to go!

We’re getting better recruits and getting deeper with real talent every year and we damn sure aren’t going backwards.

You can see if bama has some room for you on their bandwagon. Seriously dude. This isn’t for you.

Oh there’s the guy that can’t tell me the last time we won anything in the conference, because we never have…

if fans like you were all that existed everybody would be fine giving reach arounds after winning the music city bowl and calling it a good year

No way we drop that far. Road game against the #14 team and we beat the spread. We'll drop somewhere around #10 to #12. Anything more than that is really harsh. Again according to Vegas we weren't favored so this wasn't a bad loss.

Didn’t I also ask you a question? You not down to answer?

I’ll get a link to the Alabama team store.

Disagree. I think if we pulled this one out we would have had enough confidence/momentum to take out one of UT or UGA. Both of those teams will drop a game somewhere. This one did hurt.

Sounds like SEC and UK Football 101 needs to be taught.

Syllabus:

Wk 1. Bear Bryant and promises not kept.
Wk 2. Slow decline under Collier and rock bottom with John Ray.
Wk 3. Flash of excitement under Curci.
Wk 4 Some nurturing by Mr. Claiborne. Great man who admitted recruiting was really tough.
Wk 5. Elective but mandatory: How other schools kept feeding the cash cow
Wk 6. The wonder years of the 1990s. Curry, 73-7–but hey we had CM Newton and Pitiner’
Wk 7. Air raid 52-48 excellence,
Wk 8. Probation, Guy, Rich and Mitch.
Wk 9. Joker the native son. Precursor to Scott Frost.
Wk 10. I have a plan, glimmer of hope, winning games. Awesome times and wishing the older fans who passed on could witness this.
Wk 11. “Basketball school”. Basketball fans who demand we compete on conference in football the same way we’ve padded our stats in basketball against a conference for decades which contains schools that didn’t know they had a basketball program.

Wk 12. Test

Wk 13. Graduation. Go forth and part the red tape.
