I agree that UK football has improved. I hope the upward trend can continue after just having a disappointing year. I am guessing we will be picked as the preseason 4th or, possibly, 5th team in the SEC East. Still liking the competitive games though.

We're likely going to be physically weak with guards who will get routinely bullied and bigs who will get owned on the glass.
Livingston is likely gone. Possibly no Dilly. Weak shooters. No experience.
25-9, or something like that, and a Sweet Sixteenish ceiling while hoping for a miracle to advance to the Elite Eight.

My 5 decades of fandom tend to override your theory .. no offense but if you get fired up for a Cal coached team you asking to get kicked in the nuts with steel toed boats ( credit to my nephew for that one)
Hard to say until will know who is on the team next year. Could be very excited depending on who we have. Could also be meh is a ton of people leave and we don’t get quality replacements from the portal.
You misunderstood and thought it was a UK revenge tour when in fact, it was for all the teams that UK has beaten like a dog over the years, it's their revenge tour.

Rooting for Kentucky doesn't mean we're necessarily "fired up" or "excited" about what they actually do on the court. Watching the UK vs. KSU or UK vs. St. Peter's games felt more like drowning than "excitement."

Yeah in 50 years I've only seriously rooted a time or three ... damn what a dumb response . You want to put faith ( positive feelings ) in John Calapari thats fine . It def makes us different kinds of fans .
Playing devils advocate is fine, but if you truly don’t understand why a lot of fans aren’t super pumped up for another year of probably the same, I cant help you. Have you just blindly loved every second of what has been happening around here for about 6 years? I get it, it’s always exciting to start a new season; and I’m sure most everyone on this board will be excited when it comes around. But we are being asked this question right after watching a season long rock fight with terrible results; and much news of players leaving; and maybe some not coming. It is what it is.
There wasn't a voting option that I could truthfully select. I'm like Charlie Brown ... I'm marginally excited because, on paper, we have such great recruiting class coming it. BUT ... notwithstanding the great recruiting class -- I know that CCC will be the head coach so, metaphorically speaking, I know that Lucy's going to pull the ball away ! ! ! We're doomed to have no better season than 2022-23 ... 10 losses in the regular season; maybe a couple of good wins (like the Tennessee wins in '23), and flame-outs in the tournaments.
Marginally excited because it's UK basketball. However, I'm not expecting a championship and that's sad.
