How does UK beat UL?

Louisville is in the ACC, according to a lot of people on this board that should be enough. I don't know if you watched that Miami game, but Miami has some dudes. Beating them will not be easy. But the best way IMO is to get pressure on Plummer, put the game in his hands. His whole game is predicated on play action, take him out of that and he's prone to mistakes. But that would require completely shutting their running game down and getting a lead. Easier said than done. But that would be my plan, try to shut their running game down and make Plummer beat you.

Have to control both lines. That's it really, but for this team that is a mountain to climb.
I actually think UK may win this game.... because I think we'll control both lines of scrimmages.....

UL is much more offensively creative from watching their UM game yesterday....They used their tight-ends very nicely, which was the difference in the game in my opinion...HAVE to scheme this, somehow, and know that Brohm won't be satisfied to trot the same ole' offense out there without wrinkles...

Stoops has to understand that Bra-hum was hired to beat UK. Can't have this dicking around making mistake after mistake, come out and play football.

Will give Bra-hum credit, he adheres to: "Know when to hold 'rm, know when to fold 'em." He hauled ass from Purdue at the right time as they are 3-8 this year. He left them with nothing.

I have no optimism for a win on Saturday. Last night was a debacle. I'm debating whether to watch or not as my frustration level is high. Very disappointing season after hoping/thinking they'd be better. Glad basketball season is here. Additionally, all the intangibles as well as home field seem to be in favor of the opponent.

If we go out there and play smart, physical football, we should win.

We won't. If we haven't figured it out this late in the season, a few more practices isn't going to be the difference. Parents and players are Tweeting negatively about the state of the team/program. I think Stoops has lost the team. I fully expect us to come out and lay down.

One big change from the last four games is CJB will have this team mentally prepared to compete. SS did not convince his three teams that they could win this game. The last four games UK won the mental game before kick off. Once adversity set in the game was over for the Cards.

Do everything they did last night the complete opposite. Be prepared, no mental mistakes, no turnovers, dominate the LOS, buy a Powerball, have a cow jump over the moon, kiss your sister, watch as CMS manages the end of the 2nd quarter more efficiently than Saban or Smart ever dreamed., break the huddle with 15 seconds on the play clock, have the punter actually punt, receivers catch the ball and don’t fumble, find a lucky penny pit it in our shoe, pray. That should give us a chance. Maybe…

I've had a UL fan tell me that they may rest a few people in order to be ready for Florida st. Probably won't make difference though.
That is a joke we having going on the 247 site. Trust me Brohm isn’t going to rest anyone unless they are injured or we get a big lead.

That's bullshit, their coach was hired to beat UK. He won't hold out anybody who can help him do that. I'll guarantee the U6 staff was scheming on the plane ride home. My suggestion to them: Look for UK's #23, he couldn't cover an 80 year old on a walker. Other suggestion: If it's close U6 has a huge advantage, UK will beat themselves.

Louisville is 9-0 this year when they hold the opponent score less in the first quarter. They are 1-1 when they opponent scores in the first quarter.

Louisville has only given up 6pts in the 4th quarter of the last 4 games.

They have outscored opponents 90-21 in the first quarter and 88-33 in the 4th quarter

Pressure is squarely on UofL this time. It is a must win for them given the last 4 years, given they are nationally ranked and given that they are looking at a conference championship game. For all of Stoops faults, and there are many, the best games he has prepared for and coached are games like this one - an underdog in a game where there is not a huge disparity in the talent on the field. I think it causes Stoops to play more assertive and resist his conservative tendencies.

Key for Kentucky to win is to play loose and play physical. If we do that and the clock keeps ticking down with it being anybody’s game, UofL will feel the pressure to win.

I know, last one this year but trying to stay somewhat positive…thoughts?
UK'S Stoops's led dynamic offense has scored a whopping 38 pts in the last 10 qtrs(3.8 per qtr) with 6/10 being against 2 bad teams and 7 of those in the last minute the blowout by Bama. So will 16 pts be enough?

Coaching Matters!!

Not get behind in the first half. Stoops has no idea how to play from behind because his whole clock control religion has to go out the window.
It would take a "divine intervention and miracle " for this to happen. He thinks he's smarter than the GOAT is.

I honestly wonder how many of our players even give a shit anymore. I believe a few, maybe more have already checked out. I see more than a few transfers coming out from this group. This is totally off subject but could someone who regularly calls the coaches show please ask CMS why we play so sift off opposing receivers? If the answer is speed then e Pugh said but if there some valid reason that they continue to do that, because all year long, teams have basically passed at will. I’d really like to know the answer to that question

I hope you're right. If we don't control the lines we will get blown out.

UL's defense reminds me of the late 90s Broncos. They are smaller than other teams but they have great speed, and they bring some exotic type blitzes from the LBs and safeties. That could be a problem for our slow ass O-Line.

I don't think the our D-line could push a feather, so idk.

The ONLY way we beat the Red Birds is if we bring our A++ defense. Our Defense or lack there of has been the BIGGEST disappointment this year. We have prided ourselves for being a defensive football team. Biggest joke of 2023. Our D has been awful to be honest.

Over the last 10 qtrs We have averaged 3.8 ppqtr. Think that's winning fb? It's not defense folks!!!
