How does this scandal compare to $1000 Emory scandal?

I mean a $1000 dollars in 80s is like $4000 now maybe, Ky got 2 year post season and tv ban. This scandal is so much worse... can we expect a harsher penalty?

We got in trouble at the wrong time, society and therefore the NCAA accepts a lot more than they used to. That same scandal probably wouldn't have cost us a post season ban today and if it did it would just be one tournament with no tv restrictions. Louisville and UNC would both be getting a death penalty if what they did had happened then.

Yeah, tv money rules the sport now. No tv bans happening nowadays.

But I'm not so sure Louisville doesn't get death penalty.

With Squritjurino and records all gone...likely double secret probation along with a 2 or 3 year tourney vacation.

Supposedly, the death penalty for Kentucky back then "cleaned up" college basketball for everyone. If only that were true

Whatever do you mean?
