How ANGRY are you about this loss?

At this point, I don't care. Football signing day is tomorrow and basketball season is nothing more than a distraction for the next few weeks until summer starts to approach

I'm pissed to. I thought Cal would put more pressure on them to win. The team can't hold a lead and we are losing to awful teams. Top teams with great coaching doesn't lose to teams that won't make the NCAAT 5 times.
We don't see teams lose 21 point leads to bad teams yet once a Cal team is on the road we know we are in for a loss. I never felt that with Tubby or Rick EVER. But with these young teams coming in after losing guys in the draft I know we are in for bad nights on the road.
I told you guys all season I'm worried about the SEC and this is why.

Oddly, im not mad. At this point, i figure theyll either get it together by march or they wont. Even if this year were to go nit, cal has earned a pass..makes it hard...but i do fn hate tennesee!!! This is the strangest (season) ive ever known.
Must not be a UK fan if you are looking for summer to happen right now. Us fans hate long summer days which makes it seem like a 2 year offseaon until Big Blue Madness starts.
Plus lol at the thought of looking forward to our crap of football program over this team. The basketball team gives us a shot at winning.
I agree. I thought Duke was a good win, but its arguably a pretty bad loss for Duke more than a good win for uk.
This loss pisses me off. It's inexcusable and totally avoidable. It's completely on the coaching staff.
I live in Tennessee. Their own fans are saying they don't understand how he lost it.
Our coaches need to get it together every bit as much as the players. Maybe then some.

I hope you don't have to go through the same thing after the A&M game. I'm assuming you live in Texas given your username.
It's extremely disappointing to lose a 21 point lead, but I've come to expect games like this with Cal's less dominate teams. Fans, coaches, and players for these bad SEC teams go all in for 1 game a year, when UK comes to town, and it doesn't matter to them if UK is 25-0 or 15-10. The players feed off the one good crowd they'll have all year, the refs buy into the energy of the arena, and the coaches know a win over even a bad UK team is enough to keep their job.
All that isn't an excuse for losing to a horrible and undersized Tennessee team, but its become the norm and Ive sadly come to expect it. I still think theyll win out at home and likely roll through the SEC tournament. You're right that the interior is soft, but with the way this year has gone across the country, a player like Murray getting hot is all you'll need to carry you through a regional.

Ha I'm in deep sh*t daddyo. My son in law is an Aggie let alone many folks I deal with in my field are Aggies. Aggies don't give a hoot much about hoops but they'll still let it be known if we lose. Last years double OT was a scare for my daughter and I if we hadn't pulled that W out of the hat. Ticket prices are already sky high for that game. They're waiting on us just like every other SEC school.
U guys are going to be fine. UT played WAY above their heads tonight plus some ?? calls that Homers always get. Best game I have seen all season IMO UT play .I am ALL VOL Football - Basketball. This TN team absolutely looked atrocious last 2 games. Gave Bama a W and Lost to a BAD TCU team in the Challenge. KY will smash UT in Rupp upcoming. Punter has been really playing well this year. Murray is a baller for u guys. Alex is really good as well. I expect Cal will get u guys turned around. I could see u guys making noise in march as always. Our board certainly does not talk up BBall like this site. It's 90% Football talk- then the other 10% misery usually after a TN Bball loss or BIG W like tonight. I like Rick Barnes and Hope he can retire in Knoxville. Good Luck Cats rest of season and the dance. Just remember U guys beat us in 2011' in Football and it is a thorn that will never go away for most VOL fans.It was Voted worst loss in last 10 years of Football era just a few days ago. Hard to understand pi$$ing away a 21 point lead. There has to be ways of preventing that. Either by playing a different defense or changing our offense to offset their adjustments. Hell, KU went to a triangle and two last Saturday and it completely baffled Cal and this team. It just seems we NEVER try to change what we do, especially if it isn't working or the opposition has adjusted to it. Cal has to be more flexible and willing to atleast try things out of his comfort zone. He does ask that of his players, right?
I was actually shocked. I had to hop on a plane and we were up 15 before the plane took off. I landed and saw we lost. Almost lost my shit.
I don't get mad anymore with this bunch. This is one of those teams. They remind me of the 2014 team in that any game can be an impressive victory or a head scratching loss.
I'm disappointed. I was very happy for the first 14 minutes. The only thing I can think of is this team Tyler excluded is mentally soft. The momentum switched and we couldn't stop it.
This team could go to the Final Four or not make the tournament. You never know what you're going to get night in night out.

You hate to give up on any UK team especially with all teams being down this year.
I admit I think I would be ok if Cal pulled a Sixers move the rest of the way.
Identify who is staying and who is leaving.
Play the ones staying.
Get as much experience as possible to go along with fantastic freshmen we have coming in to alleviate this "we are so young and don't know how to win" stuff.
How much better are we next year with an experienced Willis, Mathews, Hump, Tai, Dom, Mulder and any others who return?
As of now only Willis and Dom would be experienced the others might as well be freshmen again.

After blowing a 21 point lead against a BAD Tennessee team??? Yeah, I'm not mad, just disappointed. I'm primarily disappointed because the entire team allowed a much less talented team out play them in every facet of the game after the first 15 minutes in the first half. You could tell UT's players wanted it more than we did. That is the part that's unacceptable.
Unbelievable, very disappointed and pissed, brings me back to the nightmares of Tubby Smith days
I'm numb to it this morning...just another bad loss. Last night at the end of the first half my attitude was that they would hold on for the win...oh well. My expectations for this team is not very high. This team has taught me not to believe "any" of the preseason hype anymore...I don't care how good the player rankings are. They'll have to prove it on the court.
Lol, well, I was sitting behind the Tennessee bench during that debacle. ....it wasn't pretty.
I was pretty angry during the game as I watched our team blow a 21 point lead to a much more inferior and smaller team. Angry as I watched UT go harder after rebounds and loose balls than we did all game. By the time I hit the bed I was over my anger and thinking it's just a game and this team has already shown it isn't what we normally see out of a Cal UK team. This morning I'm not angry a bit and only slightly disappointed as my expectations for this team have really been lowered. Not going to try and let a mediocre UK season get me all wound up tightly, no point to that. Guess I've mellowed with age.
Not mad. Just regular season. If I didn't have to deal with the mouthy UL fans, this loss would be just a blip on the radar. UK has been mostly really good the last 6 seasons and we're stacked for next year.
I am too old to be angry. I will just say it was pathetic and exposed a team that can not play tough on the road in the SEC, Getting beat once by an inferior team is one thing but to allow it over and over through this season is something else. I can not get excited about this season based on the current attitude of this team.

Instead of playing as equals, they play as understudies. Less initiative and independence. Solution. Give them several days off and restrict Ulis to ~32 minutes per game. We'll play worse, but hopefully only for awhile.

All I did was send my friend in Atlanta, that I go with to Rupp for games, a message that said, "We suck this year" he said, "I know". Why waste emotions on being angry? We can't control the way they play and whether they win or not.
Not angry, but I do feel like we just took a knockout blow. We go toe to toe in the Phog for 45 minutes, and then turn around and blow a 21 pt lead to below .500 team. When we played LSU it clicked to me that we weren't that good of a team. We have good players, but I don't think they complement one another all that well.
We stringed together 4 good games, after losing to AU. Those games gave me some hope, now I'm wondering if it was just false hope? We still have time to get better, but maybe not FF better. A few more losses like this though and we could be on the outside looking in. The silver lining is that the majority of teams this year are up and down, it's just about getting hot come the right time. Can we do that, I don't know but I'll just go along for the ride.

Lol a lot of truth to it though. A month or so ago that was arguably our best win, now I think of it as how the heck did Duke lose to us? They are pretty bad too though.
