What an idiotic statement.
You're saying that because Towles has good receivers who were able to make big plays DESPITE having to make big adjustments on the ball, Towles had a good game. Towles made some nice plays, but he made way too many mistakes to conclude he had a good game.
SDS ranked the top 10 SEC quarterbacks after week one and guess what? Towles didn't make the list. Why do you think that's the case? They must be biased against Kentucky, right?

Per ESPN, Towles rated 9th best in the SEC after week one. He was 12th in completion percentage and 9th in both yards per completion and longest completion. He was 2nd in total yards, total attempts and 3rd in total completions. He tied for 2nd in touchdowns and tied for 1st in sacks.
Towles did some good things in the game, but the mistakes he made will keep this team from reaching a bowl game in 2015 if he doesn't improve his accuracy. An SEC team would have picked a few of those bad throws off and the defense right now isn't good enough to keep the interceptions from leading to 7 points.
I hope Towles gets his act together. I know he's capable of playing much better than he did on Saturday. Of all of the problems on display Saturday, Towles' inaccuracy was the one that worry me most. Nearly all of the other mistakes can be corrected with more experience and coaching. This team will improve a lot. But if the QB can't hit a receiver in stride at least some of the time, the Air Raid doesn't work. UK will then have to rely more heavily on the run game and opposing defenses will put 8 men in the box and dare Towles to throw it. We know how that turned out last year.
Being a realist is vastly different than being a pessimist or trying to find things to complain about. Looking at the game through rose-colored glasses is fine if doing so makes you happy, but it doesn't win SEC football games.
