He replaces Carr if that group can't rebound and get stops. Mind you, I'm talking about THE BEST lineup. Not the only lineup. Notice who was and wasn't on the floor late. Carr was at the 5 predominantly. Williams or Garrison came in any dead ball going back to defense. When it gets to nut cutting time, I think that's what you'll see. Carr HAS to rebound better to make that work, but Oweh and surprisingly Brea are solid rebounders for guards.Amari Williams says hello.
The reason the best lineup includes Carr at the 5 is a mixed bag. He's a matchup nightmare for a true 5. Plus, teams have to guard him on the perimeter which opens the lane back up for the ball screens and the zoom/DHO stuff. When Amari is in, his man just sits in the lane. The only time the Cats really took advantage of that was early on when Amari hit Butler on a backdoor. You heard Bilas say that Duke needed to pressure Williams to take his vision away so he couldn't make that pass. It was all possible because that happened on the 2 man side of the floor. That rarely happened throughout the game though.
