Hope we get Duke in the tournament.

I’d rather them lose in the first round. I’d be a mess if we had to play them in the tourney. If we are healthy we could win, but I wouldn’t enjoy it unless it was a blowout 🤣

We would crush Duke even with our limited roster. They have one player to contain.
Are talking about the Duke that just beat Illinois by 40 in the Garden tonight? UK and Duke have been on two different trajectory’s since November.

Fully healthy it would be a challenge to say the least. This version of UK, absolutely not.

If we get to play Duke this March I'd be tickled. That would probably mean we're in the sweet 16 or elite 8. Having said all that, Cooper Flag is a generational player and they have a pretty good surrounding cast. It's hard to beat a great team twice. We'd have our hands full for sure. Bring it on!

Illinois is 🗑. They have had guys hurt and sick for a month now. Bad team.

Duke is a good team, definitely top 5-6.
Id like to avoid as many good teams as possible.
But it doesn’t really matter if we don’t get healthy.

This is a stupid thread. Duke has the second best Kenpom rating of all time right now. I know everyone hates Duke, but the team they have this year is legitimately elite. They have the second most efficient offense and fourth most efficient defense this year. And before anyone mentions the ACC, all those stats are adjusted for competition.

They are incredibly good this year and it's a lot more than just Flagg.

We are still a solid 3 seed.

Because we're 7-3 against Top 15 teams or so? Right now there are signs pointing the wrong direction for us. Guys trying to get theirs. Players talking about transferring before the SEC tournament has even started. On Monday we'll be lucky to be in the Top 20-25. The ONLY way we're getting a 3 seed is if all the stars align and everyone is 100% healthy.

You guys are tripping thinking Kentucky would "crush" Duke as of right now.
As happy as I was to pick that up, even our win against them was hardly any reasonable definition of crushing them, and that was with our full roster healthy. Seems a lot of people around here are putting way more stock in conference strength than I do for evaluating individual teams. I would really rather not see them again in the tournament with how they’ve played as the year has gone on.

I hate to say it but this team is not beating Duke again unless Duke has a key injury.
Let's face it unless we're a sixteen seed, we're not going to make it to Dukes bracket.

There is a very good chance we're one and done in the SEC tournament and one and done in the tournament.
We are too weak/thin at almost every position.
It's a joke to call our bigs.... bigs.
They both play as if they're going to be fined if they dunk.
The offense that we were promised that is going to offer SO much ... just has really not started clicking like everyone felt it might.
If we had all of our players and they got to actually play in some key games before the tournament, then we might make a decent run, but certainly not past the sweet sixteen.

I agree on all points but the reason for Duke’s trajectory is because the ACC is straight ass.

Not sure I want to see Duke again but if we are healthy and clicking I like our chances against anyone.

Could we win? Sure..if we're healthy and/or firing on all cylinders-but it seems we're never healthy and firing on all cylinders. Let's not kid ourselves-we were very lucky to have played them right at the very beginning of the season when a rattled Flagg made a couple of big turnovers at the end of the game. I wouldn't bet the farm that happens again.
