Honestly, is there a decent chance we get Diallo back?

I think there's a decent chance, yes.
There's tons of playing time for him on a team stacked at every position except his.
And he has NO WORRY about having to play SF.. can stick exclusively to 2G.

Look at the likely minutes distribution with only Alexander and Baker that can, in reality, play SG.
I love those two, but they aren't scaring off Hami.
Vanderbilt may have a better handle and be a better passer than Diallo it's why he is projected so high despite still needing to improve his shot

But Knox was recruited to play the 2 spot. Diallo comes back Knox could come off the bench. Said nobody ever

I never said Knox would come off the bench.

Not sure why you even said that.

Let's see how much 2 Knox plays.

@Blueaz already explained the Monk comment.

Just coming out that diallo has now decided to NOT play 5 on 5.

I think this means he is confident in his draft spot and doesn't need/want to play.

He's staying in the draft.
Who knows? But that's the way I'm leaning too.

The real money starts on the second contract
The sooner u get to that the big money starts
OR you could be like James Young....not only no big second contract but likely won't have an NBA roster spot next year. Turns out having a terrible handle and no passing ability doesn't work in the NBA. Could have used more coaching on his fundamentals

Again this is not true. The big money starts at the second contract is a cliche and it's basis is assuming you are a lottery pick and in 3 years you project as your team's best player. That scenario does not take into account that you are barely if at all a first rounder and might not make the roster in 3 years. I was told about the 2nd contract money when I stated that Orton was making a big mistake. Told about it again when I stated that Doron Lamb and Marcus Teague were making mistakes. Told again when I stated that the twins were making a mistake. A finally when Dakari Johnson was making a mistake. Show me the 2nd contracts of those players.

Yes the 2nd contract is what you are rushing to get to if you are Anthony Davis but not if you are iffy about making the roster. There is no argument that supports a player jumping into the NBA before he has demonstrated that he belongs there. Right now Diallo would likely get drafted late by a team that doesn't have needs. If he gets picked up by Golden State where does he get minutes? It is still in his best interests to return and prove that he is worthy of building a franchise around.
