I am doubting Fland gets a green room invite. I could see him sliding to the 2nd along with AT. Really hope Knox goes.
Knox and Richmond probably improved enough and played well enough down the stretch to think they are lottery material leading to a draft declaration. We've been down that road before.
Man, that's such familiar 'logic'. What a sucky reality as a fan. So glad that's over!!!!
Cal seemed a little motivated this year. In another year or two his true stripes will be back. He has to win over the Hog fans before to can openly get back to his real priorities. And just like here, he'll tell them, flat out, but they won't hear it. Took us way too long to reclaim what Kentucky basketball should be about.
Big Z and Fland combined for 0 points last night.
Fland I get, he was out for over 2 months and wasn't very effective in their first two games, didn't play a lot last night.
But Z is a head scratcher. Had been a starter, putting up very solid numbers, then sucked in the SEC tournament and saw his minutes cut then benched in the NCAA and did nothing with the few minutes he did get.

Yup the draft and signing season are where it’s at! CalU’s biggest day.
I’ll be shocked if one of them does not leave. Each one has played well enough to be a 2nd round pick at worst and they always left under him here.
That’s because when the lights are brightest Cal reverts to his old style. Granted it worked with this team, but Z can’t play in high level games. He’s too weak. Sucks because he’s an offensive threat and shot blocker. Cal just won’t trust him, but he’s proven it over and over he’s too weak still.
I think he already has, the Hogs fans have five star visions in their head and this turn around will make them believe he will have them end of year ready all the time now. He accomplished what he needed too to get his Cal U implemented. This is their version of the tweak.

All depends on how much NIL they can get....$500,000+ to get paid to play another and up your draft stock isn't so bad...

NIL is going to make some interesting decisions on projected 2nd round picks. Probably more money to stay ($1-2m maybe) but delay starting the clock to hopefully getting a guaranteed deal if they show promise, like Edwards is doing. I would say the NBA likes both of those guys as well at AT.
Interesting to see what Wagner does. With Acuff and Thomas coming in, thats a crowded backcourt, may push Wilkinson (portal) elsewhere
I'm guessing they give him enough NIL to return. He has the potential to be a 1st round pick but isn't currently projected there. I wouldn't be surprised if he went pro though.
Wagner is Cal's guy though. Anyone else coming in won't impact his role or PT. DJ will get his and the other guys will get what's left.
Can't give everyone $1-2M. Knox feels like a "should come back but won't" type of player anyway.
Sure hope he doesn't stay. If they have $7-8m like they are claiming they would be nuts not to offer him $2m.

It will be interesting to see what he does there. He probably goes three guards with the Freshmen and Wagner all three starting and Brazile at the 4 and get a 5 in the Portal.

well looking at their roster and how calipari likes a thin roster there will be interesting calls. he has more or less admitted this year he doesn't want a ton of scholarship players because there is not enough minutes....basically saying i want my guys to play 30+ minutes. he only had 9 scholarship players this year. something we have seen routinely over the last 6-8 years at kentucky.

I read on a post that someone yesterday said he was taunting fans after the game.
Is there a watch party scheduled yet for the whole team to declare? Man I miss those days. 
They made a sweet sixteen and choked like a dog to miss the elite 8. As long as they can stomach losses like last night they will happy as a pig in sh….

He got exactly what he deserved for following Cal. He got treated precisely the same way he did last year. He got to play due to injuries and when anyone else was available he was left to rot.
It makes me seriously question his intelligence. He should have never, even considered following Cal. Who are his handlers? Brad, Ellen, and Megan?

Because cal doesn’t know how to use him. Big Z should be playing just like andrew Carr. Instead cal uses him like he’s Anthony Davis and never will be Anthony Davis. He doesn’t have the lateral quickness or vertical explosiveness that Davis had. Even at 7 foot the he is a stretch player. He should be setting screens 17 ft out and be a passing big man that teams have to respect as a shooter. His defense isn’t horrible. He can protect the rim but he’s just slow to recover once he leaves his feet and he fouls too much. All that’s coaching. But coaching can’t make up for playing in a system that doesn’t enhance your strengths.
