UK survives 7-5 in Game 1. Starting to get a little concerned about our hitting. There seem to be a LOT of dead spots in this lineup...

Sweep Hofstra. Pitching was excellent the past two games. 7 1/3 scoreless, 1 hit Saturday from Ben Cleaver. Perfect through 5 2/3.

4 innings, 1 run for Ethan Walker today and 5 shutout innings from Ben Rouse. Ethan Hindle with a grand slam. Luke Lawrence 3 hits, 2 runs scored.

Good series win. Didn't dominate Hofstra like UT did, but I'm not so sure that UT isn't the best team in baseball (again).
Relative to our schedule:
-UK should be competitive with Auburn, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Texas, UL, Oklahoma, and maybe even A&M on the road (as they are struggling big time).
-UT on the road look brutal. Vandy on the road will be tough, but they don't look invincible.
-It's hard to know what to make of Georgia. They're ranked high in the top 10 but have struggled a lot - but , they have pulled out almost every close game so far. That opening series looms large.
-Miss state in Starkville is brutal but they've really come back to earth since winning the CWS a few years ago.
-Love missing Florida, LSU, and Arkansas. Sucks to miss mizzou, as they're awful.
