Wow. Now we have to wonder what happened to Bosma!? Maybe they'll tell us in the pregame show.

I feel like the "work fast" for Hagenow isn't really done correctly. Feels like he rushes his delivery instead of working fast to get back on the mound. Feel like that leads to poorer mechanics.

Headrick a bit crossed up early. Already 2 mistakes. Lol

High Point got a runner to 2nd but no further. Hagenow got a strikeout to end the top of the first.

Ground out to 2nd for Ritter.

Estep gave it a ride but it goes only to the wall. Dont throw him in or he'll destroy it. Heavy cold air only thing that kept that in play.

Plastiak goes down on strikes.

0-0 going to 2.

One out walk. Second walk for Hagenow in 2 innings of work.

Het gets to second on a deep fly tag up.

Harris runs down a dying quail out behind second. A lunging catch saves a run.

Wow Felker does a swinging type of bunt that dies right in front of 1B and he beats the 1B back to the bag with a feet first slide.

Runners on 2nd and 1st after Fogel walked and Felker moved him with that bunt single.

Harris hits a soft one up the middle for a fielders choice. Beat out the double play.

Rubal walks to load them up.

Thrasher thinking about the bunt. Ming loves the suicide squeeze.

Thrasher doesn't bunt and instead flies out to left. Cats strand 3.

0-0 going to the 3rd.

Guilfoil warming up now. Hagenow at 33 pitches. I think UK just wanting to get people work and not that Hagenow has done poorly.

Hagenow gets a K looking. Hitter thought it was ball 4.

New leadoff hitter as the CF came out in the last half inning.

Hagenow strikes out the side. 2 looking and 1 swinging.

I think UK needs to switch Logue and Hagenow for a midweek game or 2 and see what happens. Hagenow has struggled some as relief. He's doing very nicely as a starter today. See if Logue deals during the weekend as relief and if Hagenow handles someone like Louisville.

6 strikeouts and 0 hits for him through 3 innings.

Seems to be working for him. Striking out the side in the 3rd. High Point will be stepping out of the box all the time from now on to throw him off of his rhythm.

He gets on the mound quickly, which is the point of the work fast, but he also seems to force his windup to be fast. Which feels like it might throw off is mechanics at times. He settled into it today but he was struggling to find the zone to start. So I just wonder if he slowed down his windup if it would help limit some of those walks.

Plastiak off the fence and over the head of the CF for a double that scores Estep from 1st. Estep had an infield single to reach. Fogel lines out to 2nd to end the inning.

Jump misplays a ball in left to give up a double. Defense in the OF is just not sharp at times.

Guilfoil gets a pair of looking Ks to keep it 1-1.

Cats threatening in the bottom of the 5th as the 3rd baseman makes at least his 3rd throwing error of the weekend to give Ritter 2 bags.

New pitcher for HP.

Ouch. Estep lines out to first and they double off Ritter. Just some bad luck there. Hard hit ball that's right at 1B.

Must have let the bats at the ball park last night. They are very cold from the plate, literally and figuratively.

Back to back singles up the box and then a single past the diving Ritter gives High Point the lead. 2-1. Harney warming. They'll bring him in.

Don't want to sound mean, but it looks like last year was an anomaly for Harper. Prior to last year he struggled with consistency. Last year it looked like he turned a corner but this year he's been unable to find it and is struggling again. I like his stuff but it just seems too straight at times and then he gets hit.

I wonder what has made Harper so hittable this year? Maybe it is mistake pitches, but he is getting hit regularly, right back up the middle most of the time.

More shades of last year cropping up this game. MORE defensive errors. Walks. Wild pitch. Wild pitch.

This is supposed to be a D1 SEC team...

Looked at his stats and opponents are hitting .259 against him. That isn't a bad number... but he's just giving up those hits at the wrong times and often in a row.

UK gifted a run by the wind as HP just didn't catch two popups that should have been sure outs and instead went for back to back singles.

Estep got on with a single over first. Plastiak then strikes out and Estep thrown out trying to steal 2nd.

Fogel line drive base hit. McCarthy going to PR. Burkes to hit for Felker. He tries to bunt and fouls it off.

Burkes fouls off 2 bunt attempts and squares again. Not fearing the foul out.

This is a complaint I’ve had since Minge has been here. Why pinch hit here if you’re just going to ask the guy to bunt? Especially someone with very little playing time.

Bunt works and an error on the throw means that McCarthy is safe at 3rd and so is Burkes at first. Dallas will run for Burkes.

I guess they didn't trust Felker to bunt there. Burkes almost didn't execute himself though.
