We lost. Shot bad. Played in a tough environment and had a chance. Might loss to Gonzaga as well but could win obviously. I ain't upset. We are a team that is predicated on 3s and movement and didn't shot well . Happens. I'll still take this over any of the last 5 6 years of stall ball cal. I think a loss is good for us. Obviously I wish we won but we are fine. Chime in if u want. Eom

Bad game, bad shooting, few too many turnovers, loud road game, everything going wrong, but lost by 4. Missed opportunities down the stretch. Face your weaknesses, work on them and Move on. 1 free throw and 1 3pt made. Clemson be trying a full court prayer for the win. You learn more from a close lost, than close win. Imo. Who going undefeated? Yawn

Played about as poorly as we could, including freethrows, and came within a possession essentially….at a place that routinely beats Duke/UNC/Virginia when those teams are top15 teams as well

Exactly. Just gotta get better, simple as that. Next game should tell us a bit more about this team. I'm enjoying this team. They don't fold, all you can ask for. This lost aids a future win.

Or... our back up point guard is a liability, we have no go to player. Not greatest coaching job: Brea should have played more, should have come up with plan to get more open shots, Pope watched us play hero ball the last 10 minutes: stuff it down low to a big to either make a turnover or maybe get a shot off. That wasn't us and he watched it all and did no adjustments. Anytime Butler wasn't on the court we struggled to score.

Yep. Terrible game by Carr who I thought would bring it considering he's played there multiple times. FTs are a concern as well as intestinal fortitude but I'm of the mind we needed this loss. Pope will have us focused of that I have no doubt.

What happened when butler and Carr got in early foul trouble . This effected they way we played in the first half especially with butler . Their guards were able to drive the lane . With butler in the game we beat Clemson. We got almost no production from our bench . We did beat Clemson the 2nd half but the first half was to hard to overcome . Hey it's early we will be okay POPE has their attention we will get better I like my team

Pope came in and had ZERO players returning. NONE. NADA. In less than a month he had a full roster from the portal/transfers and the freshmen that committed. That's pretty d@mn impressive. Folks on here were beside themselves he did that. Got some really good players with experience that fit the way he wants to play.

Maybe the Duke win got folks a little too optimistic about the team. Does the Clemson loss suck....absolutely. Players learned what it's like to be the road team with "KENTUCKY" splashed across your jersey. Lesson learned I hope.

Yes losing stinks but most all would agree we had our chance to win the game and not only did Clemson beat us with a good game gameplan of physicality and a hostile environment, we also beat ourselves missing wide open 3s and uncontested free throws.
I think we were rattled early on and looked like a deer in headlights because of the rough style they were bringing with almost no calls. That’s going to happen so live and learn.
Just hates to see our bench not provide anything.

Couple negative takeaways I was left with.
1. Carr and Williams not finishing at the net, just dunk it be physical.
2. Kerr shooting and ability to get smoked in the lane on defense.
3. Brea not showing up
4. No one seemed to want to take the shot to be the man at the end or last few minutes left in game to take over.

Yeah now that I see who we are instead of putting 100 on UK like I did last night I will easily put it on Gonzaga Saturday night and buy a win.

UK will go as Butler goes period.
He is our best player.
UK actually went up from 13 to 11 in KP after the L.
Thats probably a better assessment of where we are than at #4 in AP “right now”.

Careful with that mind set.
That was UK’s 1st true road game and we easily could have won it, lost by 4.
Clemson is good and played well.
Kentucky will be more prepared for another road environment Sat.
It will be a thriller.

Played an NCAAT team on the road and lost. It happens. We won’t be the last top five ranked team to put up a night like that this year. The important thing is what Pope, his staff, and his players take away from the experience.

We had tons of no shows but the play of Kerr as a back up point guard is concerning
Not sure why Pope was so adamant about getting him.
He cannot penetrate a big liability on defense
Was -21 last night - I sure would like to see Perry get a few of his minutes to see what he could do

We did some goods things last night and we missed some free throws and wide open threes.
Overall not a bad performance by UK.

I thought our defense in the 2nd half was borderline stellar.

The weak side slide over d was impressive as was our on the ball coverage.

We are going to be fine my brothers.

39-1.

Call Mitch and tell him you are qualified take over.

0 points and 0 assists in 21 minutes of play from Kriisa is really rough. Not very good defensively either. 3 point % for the season is now at 24% on 4 attempts and it somehow feels like it should be lower. If we have to rely on him giving us good minutes for extended periods, our floor is lower than I thought it would be
