He just play Reed for 1 minute?

Give it up man. Reed has been garbage in multiple SEC games. When the real games started he has gone backwards.
Meanwhile, Justin Edwards has been awesome. Let's keep deflecting for John Calipari. His decisions have been incredible regarding Justin Edwards and tonight's rotations. I bet you were wearing your special beanie tonight when you posted this post to give you the mindset needed for such genius rebuttals.

There was no team play tonight. Individual playing all night. Almost everyone played horribly. Coach well that’s a whole novel. 7 assist all night and the player rotation was hell I don’t even have a word for it. Defense wins championships. He better come up with a defensive plan or he’s going to get exposed a lot more. That was painful

The player substitutions tonight were terrible and the lineups Cal was using. This lose was on the whole team. We better get use to this. There are more road games coming. These dogs better learn how to take the heat or get out of the kitchen, like tonight. Buckle up guys, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

I wonder if it's because Cal pushed so hard to get him to come to UK out of fear that the program and fans would turn on him if he didn't get him to sign.
I think Cals biggest fear was not that Sheppard would attend UK, his biggest fear was that Sheppard would be so good that he had no choice but to play him significant minutes over 'his' guys

I want him to play because he’s one of our best players. He helps us win games. Cal went away from his rotation in the second half. I think that was a mistake. Team has had no spirit all night.
SC had not scored a single point when Reed first entered the game and then they went on a run but Reed should start and can never be criticized blah blah.

Reed was ineffective. He coughed the ball up, got pushed back on the pick and roll. Wagners play is not selfish, it’s the way Cals system works. it makes the all of the point guards look selfish. Heck, Reed could not get his shot off or make 2 dribbles toward the basket. We had no where to go with ball.

He hasn’t been for a while. Look at his SEC stats. 8 points per game, multiple turnovers. Terrible defense. He’s being propped up when he’s been really bad for a while.
Yeah he really sucked against UGA, Einstein.

I think there are things going on behind the scenes that are affecting Reed. I can't imagine what his dad is thinking, given that he played under one of the most demanding and strategical coaches that ever lived.
Probably wishes pitino was still the coach, and not this clown

I mean he went 1 of 4 for 3pts and 3 rebs in 15 mins while DJ went 2 of 10 for 4pts and zero rebs in 30 mins. I thought DJs selfish play when I was still somewhat close is what blew it open for Uscjr.
Yea I agree. It was a crap game all the way around. Had several guys who didn’t show up. They gotta be better.

Yeah reed was great in this one, If he played more we would have won!
Reed did not have a great game, but neither did anyone else. Time to regroup and tell them whomever plays defense and rebounds the ball will play and no one else will play. Problem solved!

Some of you don't know anything and blaming one player shows that. This loss is all on Cal and the staff for not having this team prepared to play tonight. I guess the staff does not even practice defense because we sure did not play any tonight.

Reed looked sick on the bench in the first half but not sure if that was the case. In any event, he facilitated a steal when he came in the game and allowed Dillingham some good looks because they had to guard him. However, I am as always frustrated with Cal who seemingly never advises players in games to not do certain things. It always instead appears the players need to "figure it out." There was way too much one on one play so hey coach why not point that out? We also were not aggressive in tempo or doing what for this team is best with early shot selection. The second half of Georgia and now this game once again like past years exposes us if we slow the offense to half court sets.

P.S. similar to last year with another shooting guard, we never run picks to free them up. Reed is a great shooter but let's never coach him to shoot the ball.

Reed was very bad early in the game. Uncharacteristicly.

My hope for him the rest of the year is that he plays good ... but not good enough to be a First Round pick. I don't want him to leave.

To be honest he was probably like me, he couldn’t identify a single person who didn’t suck tonight. I have no issue with the rotations tonight. I wanted reed out of the game as well. He didn’t seem like he was gonna play himself out of it. Let him sit and watch for a while. None of them better forget this night. Ever.

This is ridiculous, Reed had played like shit lately and was scared AF tonight. He will get it back but it wasn’t his night.

I have this dude on ignore. It’s one of the best things I ever did on this message board. I love not knowing what idiotic thing he said to lead to your response. I highly encourage everyone to put that dude on ignore.

how is that even remotely relevant to what I said
Because you said he was scared he would be so good he couldn’t play him over his guys. That’s ridiculous. He’s obviously one of the best players but he’s not had it lately. He will play a lot when he gets it back. Now you want to talk about Edwards playing, that makes no sense. He should have rode the pine beside him.

there is nothing ridiculous about it given Calipari's desire and past history to play his 5 stars
Sure it is, the narrative that he doesn’t wanna play Reed is dumb and not founded in reality. Lot of things to be critical about but that isn’t close to one of them.

That is why he says "GO MAKE A PLAY " !

He can’t stand Reed getting any credit. He’s one of those that thinks for Wagner to be good or appreciated, Reed has to be bad. Every game thread he picks apart anything Sheppard does wrong but says it’s the “team” when his favorites play bad.
