Just started a thread on the national board to discuss this. Would love some feedback if any of you have a moment to post in that thread:

@jarms24 and I have been going back and forth with a stubborn UNC fan that only accepts his version of reality. He simply doesn't believe preemptive bans have happened.

That was the point I was trying to reiterate over there. Hell moderators at Devils Illustrated that have never postedat THR have even been banned

Oh well, my attempts to gather data have been thwarted on the national board as that thread has been locked.

Apologies for wasting everyone's time over here. Also, kudos to this board for actually allowing outside fans, like me, to post.

They were accusing Cal of paying players to beat them out for guys. I posted in a respectful way that Cal has a track record of 1 and done and at UNC, they've only had 2 and its known that Roy Williams tries to get players to stick around for more years. Then I also said..... plus I dont think you guys should be accusing anyone else during this time.

Maybe their mods should nix threads where they are accusing others of cheating..????? I mean it only looks horrible on their behalf with that huge scandal.

did you guys read their thread about INTEL? The guy claims his source said the Mens basketball program wasnt involved. [roll][roll] .......... So when the allegations from the NCAA claim that mens basketball benefited..... ... i guess that was just fiction and the NCAA was joking right? According to this guys source... players arent a part of the basketball program ...some how.

Those guys and the UL fans are so much alike its scary.

Gary is a gigantic joke of a poster. He'll have a total meltdown when UNC gets punished. Just watch.

That doesn't help in many cases. When the story broke about UNCheat, I posted the link on THR and asked if there was anything to this. BANNED

the UNC and UL fans have been a mirror image of each other
both claimed it was just some liars
then both claimed it was just a rogue employee
both claim no major penalties, even though UL has a PSB and UNC has 5 (?) class 1 violations and both will be hit with LOIC
both fanbases have spun and tried to deflect to the point that have no idea what "truth and honesty" are

I was banned there too and never posted. They ban you there if they don't like your user name or avatar.

Yes!!! I hadn't even posted there since the board change and was banned before I could post. Total bs

Apparently, the UNC board is so afraid of the truth that they ban those to speak on the UNC scandal on the UK board. But, their ethics fit the Carolina Way.

anyone else having problems with the board getting the error page ? been that way the last hour... and i'm not having problems with other school's boards.

I'm also having trouble with Kentuckysportsradio the last two hours with the page constantly refreshing and glitches..


Did some UL hacker decide to go to war with UK today or something? lol

This. I was banned for things I posted here. Only thing I figured out was the THR mods come here, read posts then ban those posters from THR site. Dirty and sneaky as hell, but no skin off my butt. I hardly ever posted there anyway. In fact the last post I made over there was something like this: "I know you guys hate UK, but if UCONN wins one more NC, they will have the same number as you guys, 5."

I was trying to post on my brother in laws thread a few months ago. It was the first time I had ever tried to post on their site. I received a message that explained that I had been banned for being a nuisance on their board. My reputation must have proceeded me.......

Roy Williams is probably banned at THR. (lol)
 
I understand that there would be a bit of a "circle the wagons" mentality on UNC boards due to the academic mess. However even before all that hit they had gotten pretty strict, if not THR, Inside Carolina certainly had. It's like they want absolutely nothing to do with anyone who doesn't wear baby blue. Pretty narrow minded.

A few years ago, I used to post there from time and time and also just check in occasionally to see what they were saying, and they were constantly accusing Cal and UK of cheating but when asked could never produce any evidence. Where there's smoke, there is fire was always their response. They don't feel that way about their own program though.
 
Lol...I've been banned there since 2005. All I said was that I thought that we had a chance against their team because they lost to unranked Santa Clara. Never said anything vulgar or out of line, just voiced my opinion of the outcome of the game and got banned. We ended up losing by 12 or 13, but that was the UNC team that would go on to win it all. All I know is that's pretty thin skinned of their moderators.

I've been banned at the dook forum since early 2004. I got banned there for arguing that the UK v. dook game in 2001-2002 was a sham and that the bogus foul called on Prince in the closing seconds that sent Jay Williams to the line to tie the game up was proof that the refs were looking out for dook. Their fans and even some of their moderators resorted to name calling and calling me and UK fans in general country bumpkins and inbred hillbillies and then I got banned. I didn't even get a chance to defend myself.

Out of curiosity, I checked to see if I had been unbanned at both forums a couple of years ago, and I was still banned. Lol! Talk about holding a grudge.
