27 points, 9 of 10 from FT. Fearless. great player. Man, can you fathom the pit of mediocrity L-ville would be wallowing in if Pitino hadn't talked Lee and Lewis into coming to the Yum. Nobody else on their team can score.

Major props, he is one hell of player. I was nervous with Briscoe out about being able to guard him.

He was most impressive. He'll get a good shot at the NBA. BUT i will say i was most impressed with #32 but i dont recall his name. he was killing us inside.

I don't like to discuss losers too much... Pete Maravich, one of the greatest players to ever play against UK, probably averaged over 40 points a game against us, but never won....

If you want to discuss Marcus Lee, he's getting to be a really good player...

He was one of the leading scorers in the country at Drexel last year, I wonder why he didn't put his name in the draft? It's not like he's undersized or can't shoot. What part of his game doesn't translate well to the next level? And don't tell me it's because he played for a nobody. There are plenty of NBA players historically who played for nobodies. Hell, Steph Curry played for a nobody.

He might very well be a great player, but I honestly wasn't crazy impressed with him today. 8-20 from the field and 2-7 from the arc. 0 assists, 1 rebound. Seems pretty one-dimensional and the free throw line saved him. Props to him for being a great FT shooter. He put up a big number (27 points) and is obviously not terrible, but I wasn't impressed today. That being said, he'll probably sneak into the draft late.

So when Julius Mays or Darius Miller or Josh Harrelson had a big game, you weren't impressed. Gotcha.

In fairness.. Miller and Jorts started their careers with BCG. That's like being left a car with a quarter tank of gas.

I can, and it bugs the hell out of me. Their fans deserve to wallow in the abyss of mediocrity for a few years.

He single-handedly kept his team in the game and gave them a chance to win. If a 27 point road performance in a rival game doesn't impress you, there aren't many that will. Gotta give the kid credit, they'd be lost this season without him.

I don't think he would have to put his name in the draft since he was a fourth year senior. I presume he could have been drafted if one of the teams chose to do that. Of course, I could be wrong.

I doubt a hat would fit over that cabbage patch hairdo anyways...

I will say this, there is not one one player on this UL team that I dislike..They all seem like good kids .. Wish Cal would have gone after Damion Lee. The opportunity was there.
Cal is too close with Bruiser Flint to take one of his players

Cal was really talking with Lee after the game and I read somewhere that UK was recruiting him. He was pretty much doing what he wanted down the stretch yesterday.

Cal was very classy at the end congratulating Lee. You can see his charm and rapport with kids. Congrats on the win. Great game. We will probably see each other again in March.

Yep, thaz' true, and probably in a regional final, NCAAA way is to put us in toughest bracket with foe that's really pumped up to play us.

Very impressed with Lee, seems like a good young man too.

UL without Lee is a bad bad team. They had better hit that recruiting trail fast they need much more than King.

King is going to fill Lees' role but you are correct in that we will need an additional option with Lewis leaving as well. I fully expect Pitino to pursue another graduate scorer after the way Lee and Lewis are performing.

Get where you're coming from...but not a good way to do it.

Too bad Pitino didn't. A flip of the bird and out the back door.
I am never going to defend a grown man ever flipping anyone off, no matter what the situation. I dont believe he did based on the video. But if he did do it he should apologize. No question.

You don't believe he did? Watch the video, he through quickly. If it was a #1 finger, he would have held it up longer....at least 15 seconds.
