Has any player ever played in the final four for 2 different teams?

It has never happened it seems like, unless chatgpt is wrong

Per Gemini:

* Steve Krafcisin:
* He played in the Final Four with the University of North Carolina in 1977 and then again with the University of Iowa in 1980. This is a confirmed instance of a player reaching the Final Four with two different schools.
The increase in player transfers has brought this topic up more recently. So, while it is not a common occurence, it has happened
.

IIRC, Bob Bender of Duke (78) was a sub on that team and the 76 Indiana team. May have been others since.

Ding ding ding - we have a winner!

Bender was a freshman on the undefeated 76 IU squad and played 1 minute in the championship game.

He transferred to Duke and played a lot on the 78 team that lost to the Cats.

Sorry but something changed with the site and I can’t post links or pics from my phone like I used to be able to do…..

The Zags made their first Final 4 in 2017. The first season after Kyle Wiltjer graduated.
