GYERO

I’d like to see him at Murray St, but if he’s really looking for an engineering degree that ain’t the place.
That might be the perfect level for him. His lack of quickness/athletic prowess/defensive ability was on full display this year. I'm not sure he will "star" at most levels but could be a good contributor someone at that level.

I mean, if Perry wants an engineering degree and is staying home, it’s UK, UL, and like the 2 possible degrees at WKU. They’re not bad engineering schools. I’m biased that UK is above the other two. SEC has some decent programs. I’ve hired a engineering talent from a lot of SEC schools.

UL is loaded at the guard positions, don't see that happening.

UK lasses the only ones who put out for athletes?

We are speaking about the Perry situation with the gift of age of which comes with wisdom. What we “think” we would do at this age and what we would have done at that age are 2 different things. Of course we think we would be happy riding the bench, collecting checks and notches on the bedpost. That is because none of us were ever good enough to be in a position to make that choice.

I hate to see him leave, he really grew on me as the year went on. He got tougher and more assertive as the year went on. I’d love to see him continue to develop here but if he wants to play, and what kid that age doesn’t, unfortunately it will be somewhere else. I’d like to see him at Murray St, but if he’s really looking for an engineering degree that ain’t the place.
Murray State’s S&C program did wonders for Ja Morant’s athleticism. Might be a good move for Perry.

I don’t watch or even pay attention to the NBA, at all; but I flipped on the BOS/ORL game and how in the world is Al Horford still playing? Seems like he should be in his mid forties

Aaron Torres (yeah, I know; I pick on him a lot) captioned a youtube tonight:

Here is what Mark Pope MUST DO NEXT!! (after losing Travis Perry to the portal)

This only thing I could come up with: make two phone calls:

1. To Denzel Aberdeen, letting him know that he doesn't have to change jersey numbers.

2. Contact the source manufacturer for UK's game gear, to let them know about the name change on the number 11 jerseys...

The youtube portal stuff is just absoutely ridiculous at this point.

Isn’t “nothing” an acceptable option?

Or maybe “add a ‘project’ kid with an upside.” Who you could also potentially lose next year, but whatever.

Century, buckethead had been popping off on Joey, giving him grief for driving a CPO Kia, etc. Eventually Joey came back with a ~1,000 word absolute hit piece detailing why bucket is the worst person on the face of the planet. Highlights included his failed teaching career and then going to work for his father in law at his disaster cleanup company (it was a knockoff Servpro or something). Wish I could remember more detail, but the upshot was bucket never showed his face in here again. It was just brutal.
He gave me grief about having a Queen sized bed and not being able to afford a bigger house (after he looked it up).

buckethead1978: Queen sized bed???
Joey Rupption:

We went over this the last time you criticized my modestly-sized 1920’s home and you always take the bait. So here’s a refresher: You chose a women’s profession. Failed as a provider for your family. And your father-in-law had to step in and make sure his daughter and grandkids were provided for by setting you up with an assumedly inflated salary to manage the cleaning of human shit and death for a living.

If your FIL lurks GYERO and wants to criticize my home, income, on track college funds, zero debt, and furniture choices: Please help him login and I’ll take it in good humor.

Otherwise, you have no standing to criticize any man, let alone a GYERO man.

Stick to contemplating what it means to not be the man of the house in your own home and keep my furniture choices out of your posts. TIA

I always assumed bucket came back as the “AIChatGTP…” poster.

I used to catch up on GYERO during the week at lunch at my deli as a habit. But now, I’m WFH most days and otherwise taking quick lunches and clocking out at 4pm to chauffeur my kids around to a smorgasbord of sixteen (16) different weekday practice this Spring. [ Oldest Soccer, Middle Soccer, Youngest Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Track, Dance. ] We are also squeezing in some hitting lessons and golf.

My big fun life update is as follows:

Acting as a responsible father of three, I got back into indoor soccer last year to mixed results. By September, I was back in shape and flying around.

At my last game, I won the ball at the halfline, dribbled a guy, bridged passed a guy (off the wall), and scored a rocket from elbow extended, far post upper 90. As I landed on the shooting leg an oaf tried to block it (late), fell into my leg, and exploded my ACL.

In October, I had knee surgery for an ACLr and three meniscal implants (repairs related to an MCL tear 16 years ago). They used my quad tendon for the ACL, but cutting it made my kneecap fall off to the side (even more) and I already had kneecap cartilage problems before all of this.

So I’ve been working out / sprinting /rehabbing at 6am everyday to get back to form since early February and am gassed by 10:00pm.

My ACL is back, but I think the meniscal and kneecap stuff will take another 18 months at least.

- CPO KIA just turned over 100k mi, btw. And it’s only on its 2nd (and a half) new engine!

*That actually makes sense. That dude would never reveal who he was even though he'd take little bitch like cheap shots then disappear.

*Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuiuck. That sucks.

In light of the reflective mood tonight:

It never stops being hilarious. The reporter being overwhelmed, losing ALL control of the situation in a millisecond, as the absolutely blasted UK fans swarm like group predators, and then the cut away to the dead silence and stunned faces of Sam Dick and Rob Bromley. 🤣

An A-list movie director could not have directed and edited the juxtaposition any better.

Another aspect of Wynn's post that got me - no way that was really 2014, was it?

Not to nitpick or bury the lede, but the passage of time freaks me out as I get older, so I am curious.

It freaks me out too, Centch, and I may very well be wrong on my recollection of all that. My frame of reference is being at my in laws place in Florida for Easter weekend at the same time as The Fappening came out. So I do at least vividly remember reviewing that material in a secluded location at their place. And taking a break and reading Joey’s massacre of buckethead. But like I said, that could all be mixed up in the winds of time.

If buckethead really is Chatgptfaag, that only solidifies his status as one of the biggest pussies in Gyero history. Chefs kiss for that observation, Joey.

Who does Pope take to replace Perry’s roster spot. Does he take Baker-Mazara, Hawthorne or Sarr. Does he take Stokes, we offered him last year and Hart has watched him several times this year.

Maybe he takes one of the first three and takes Stokes, if they pass the 15 player roster in a couple of weeks. Whichever one or three, we’re going to be embarrassingly talented and a favorite to win it all.

LOL - I hope I live long enough for one of the talented media savvy GYERO guys to put together a GYERO documentary.

Heavily filtered, rolling scenic footage of the Bluegrass area, for the intro, but peppered with cold open interview snippets

(and I TOLD them! It's a bad look to hire black people and dress them up as the help, for the tailgates. Of course, it was a different time you understand...)

music, scenes

(Well, Wodie took off running from Security, but he mis-judged the girth of his Meatwad costume you see,, and he tore the side mirror clean OFF of that Lexus.)

( He vehemently INSISTED, to the end; that a credit card voucher, incoherently scrawled on a cocktail napkin WAS in fact, a legally binding financial instrument)

(They told the police, that the young man, who was CLEARLY inebriated, and smelled of gin, muttered something about a wedding reception before he drove off. No other details were provided)

(Yes sir, a 9 inch long human turd, laying pristinely in the bathroom sink. No, no particular reason was given)

It's a no brainer if you ask me. If I had the equipment, I'd do it myself.

GYERO is at least as old as the game against UT when Curtis Pulley started and UK football was FINALLY going to conquer the world because I remember coming to that tailgate. Pre kids and now my son is getting ready to graduate! 😕

And I think I asked PTI what GYERO meant. And believe it or not he gave me a straightforward answer and didn’t tell me to get pumped or anything of the sort.

GYERO started in 2002, iirc. WS and I graduated in May of that year. I think maybe BBdK was ‘01??

Anyways, to show how much technology has changed, it was really exciting to a bunch of newly graduated desk jockeys that we could log on here and conversate with one another in a public/group setting. We didn’t have facebook as college kids, or MySpace, or even text messaging.

I started posting right before my oldest was born, around 16 years ago. My username is a faux nickname for him, as many of you have figured out. Probably need to change it as I’ve had 3 more since then. It does blow my mind how long ago that was but how short it feels.

"I was going to make fun of catsfanbgky's post about Lowe carrying the load for Pitt (getting to Heshimu=Warrior, WCS=WR levels), but I had not previously heard that he had a broken finger on his shooting hand last season. I still think he's the wild card. I feel very comfortable with every other position. We're putting a lot of eggs in the Lowe basket, though."

Learn.

WTF are you talking about ? "Heshimu = Warrior" and "WCS = WR" My post was not even remotely the same as what you are implying. I simply said he had the ball in his hands a lot and had to take bad shots with the clock running down. Just like the broken finger on his shooting hand, Lowe having to carry the team, is pretty damn common knowledge. Well for a basketball anyway.

20 year anniversary of the Miss State Halloween tailgate this year. Bernie as Crap head still kills me. Epic 13-7 win for the Blue and White
The funniest part of that day was two black kids selling candy side eying me with a "bitch stole my fish" look on their faces.

The toilet seat came in handy during the game. Extremely effective noise maker.

Is that the same tailgate I deep fried a turkey and pushed BKH across the purple lot as fast as I could run?

Dang! That's tragic! Sounds like the goal was a banger though.

Heal up! Are you going to work yourself into playing shape and enter the pitch again or will you hang up the cleats for good?

I'm rolling down to good old Pendery Park tonight to coach some rambunctious 6 and 7 year olds. We've lost our our first two games by a combined 18 goals or so. My team is the one with the players running around with their elbows in their sleaves acting like they are T-Rexes during the game.

Don't remember how or when I found this place. I'm just glad I did.
I discovered the board in 8th grade when I noticed my substitute teacher in social studies perusing a site with what seemed to be filled dedicated Cat fans. I made an account soon after, forgot the password, and then made my current one a few years later.

I first started posting on the original Rivals, which was Kentucky Sports Report/WildcatChat, around 2000. Then Rivals went under, and most people went to a non-affiliated, independent board, then Rivals came back. Somewhere along the way a Scout board popped up. So, I do concur that 2001 -2002 is when the first GYERO was launched.
