I am slowly recovering from Cal PTSD. I was sweating the entire second half waiting for the players to go ice cold, play stall ball and watch IL get right back into it. Nope, we have players who may not be NBA locks but do not melt on the biggest stage and a coach who makes actual adjustments and does not take his foot off the gas. Beating UT 3 times will be incredibly difficult but I like this team’s chances.

Feels good to feel like Kentucky again. Feels good to be a fan again. So many of us across the commonwealth had completely checked out on having any connection to the disgrace of the last few years. The kneeling was a last straw for many. Now we are back and we have our winning program back with one of our own at the helm. It’s been one of the most boring tournaments in recent memory. Few close games. I think the R64 had the largest average margin of victory ever.
The power conference teams have stolen all the mid majors top players via the portal.
Regardless of how you want to view it, the quality of college basketball has skyrocketed since the portal became a thing. Just got to find a way to protect the little schools a bit more (thinking two year contracts or some such).

It is impressive that the SEC will have 7 teams in the Sweet 16, BUT the SEC can also eat shit.
Honestly, I just don't think Rick Barnes knows how to coach against what Pope and our offense does. In both of his postgame interviews he was asked what we ran that gave them problems and he spent the entire time talking about not executing defensively. Could just be coach jargon but given the results (and our injuries) it's evident that UT struggles against us.
