Did Oweh forget how to play basketball?

He is shitting himself at both ends again.

Oweh playing like trash

Oweh is starting to piss me off. He’s missed 4 or 5 layups, and is weak with the ball through contact. Dude is a bulldog, and should be less of a pussy

Oweh doesn’t come off as the alpha killer type so the booing, friends on the other team and ex coach could be affecting him.

But we get the Williams/Garrison combo so I suspect a nice defensive stretch here.

Oweh just got undressed.
People calling Oweh *u$$y ???? LOL. Yes, lets have more "Mountain Momba" and Chandler. Those guys make a COUPLE plays in a game and they are ballers, and get all the flowers, Oweh has been our best player for the year and it is not even close, and he makes a couple mistakes, and gets raked across the coals. Dude scored 21 out of the last 23 points for us (18 STRAIGHT), ONLY player to score for us in the last nine minutes (NINE), got several key steals, game winning bucket, 5 seconds later, the game winning block, did everything but carry the water in the second half, and people call HIM out ? I hope the ones who said they was going to bed, did. Save the BS headed back my way, there was no excuse in so many posters shitting on Oweh, NONE. We had better hope like hell he doesn't start getting draft noise, he will be more important than any recruit, Perry, Chandler, Noah, transfer portal singing next year.

Gotta say, it was odd going to bed happy after a close SEC game on the road. Obviously we could/should have beat them, but recent results from the past few years have traumatized me. Slept well.

Sit Robinson, and Butler as much as possible.

Gals (and fellas) that prefer the Timothy Olyphant vibe probably dig Porter Moser.

Despite being a certified college winter-ball, the last two days of weather have been top notch.

Sounds like carbon monoxide, which let’s face it can’t be that bad. Other than going out while on top it’s pretty high on my list.
you would think, but I just read authorities saw no immediate evidence of gas or carbon monoxide when they entered the home. He had a cane beside him looking like he possibly fell. The wife and dog were in a different part of the house and she had a pill bottle and pills spread out around her. Crazy

College hoops randoms because I've been busy...

- I've rarely seen a coach so obviously hate his team the way Bill Self hates this KU squad. His disdain is PALPABLE.

- The coaching carousel is in full effect. So many fascinating searches. Does IU bite the bullet and get Chris Beard, or do they play it safer and go with someone like Greg McDermott or Mick Cronin? If Mick does leave UCLA, do they go with a proven West Coast winner like Randy Bennett of St. Mary's? Does Iowa subtly push Fran towards retirement so they can snag Ben McCollum before he goes and wins elsewhere? Does Dennis Gates stay at Missouri, or succeed Hamilton at FSU? Does Arizona State give Bryce Drew another shot at a Power Five job? If James Jones were to ever leave Yale, would a job at an academic powerhouse like UVA make sense for him? Does Thad Matta still want to do this, and if he steps away, could Chris Mack jump back into the Big East? Which school will finally give Will Wade his redemption job? (I'm guessing if Beard ends up at IU, Wade would slide right in at Ole Miss). Which big fish will Texas try to snag if they let go of Rodney Terry?

I know nobody else cares about coaching carouselsucka, but as a college basketball, it's gonna be a fun couple of months to keep up with.

- If he doesn't like how the UVA coaching search turns out, one kid I'd love to land in the portal is Isaac McKneely. Would be a nice replacement for Brea, and he can do more off the bounce.

- Really impressive what Greg Gard has done at Wisconsin. Adapted to the changes in the game, and now they've turned into one of the best offenses in the country, and they're not doing it with five-stars, either.

- I think I heard that last night was Dane Bradshaw's first night in the SEC Network studio in eight years. He's really, really good. That whole studio crew (Nokhi, Burns, Fishback, Young, Bradshaw, Bradley) is high-quality.

I thought it was odd that Michigan extended Dusty May to avoid any interest from IU. That made me think outside my SEC bubble.

Could they consider:

Fred Hoiberg who was a huge name before he left Iowa State

TJ Oltzeberger, speaking of Iowa State.

Grant McCasland

Those are three quality basketball coaches that seem like easy fits.

A sleeper SEC coach besides Pearl and Besrd is Todd Golden to me for a fit in a lot schools and should be easy to get out of UF.

Shows was def pointing at the lower right side of the monitor, which is where Garrison was.
If the refs T'd up Garrison while ignoring the intentional foul.....

I don't think McCasland would leave for anyplace other than KU or Texas. He's winning at a high clip at Texas Tech, and they are going ALL IN on NIL, etc.

Don't think he'd leave for another job unless it's one of those two places. They're in his geographic wheelhouse.

Big sequence at the end of the first half:

Oweh gaks a layup (after getting fouled)

Fears leads the break

Perry moves his feet stays in front and draws the offensive foul

Brea three misses, Noah grabs the board, moves and hits Perry with a no look pass to the corner

Perry drills it and tells those dipshits on the bench all about it.

-Oweh has been making big plays after poor ones all year. It's like he has the ability to laser focus and make something happen when he really wants. Ex. his steal and dunk vs Louisville after he missed big free throws.

Last night felt like an extended version of that.

-Non-alcoholic beer has gotten me through some solid dry spells in the last couple of years. There are a lot of goods ones out there now. Mixed with some THC is a very mellow and satisfying buzz to carry around.

Agree, I've mentioned that as well. It's wild how often it happens, and almost usually, it happens on the ensuing possession.

How many times has he made a minor mistake or missed a bad shot or a FT, only to come up with a steal and pick-6 dunk?

Love that kid.

Was rewatching the game too and noticed that their scrub Glenn Taylor grabbed Robinson’s wrist intentionally with about 4 minutes to go in the first half and that’s what re-injured it.

Immediate hoodie purchase.
Me too. I bought before I posted link🤣.

The polos are beat. And the white quarter zip begs for immediate staining.

EDIT: That Qzip is 🔥🔥🔥. Just can’t be a slob.

The full pivot to athleisure wear was really the only good thing to come out of covid. I'm in some sort of travel pant/jogger 99% of the time. Comfy 1/4 zip or lightweight hoody about the same.

Malort is really not that bad. No shame in Malort's game. The finish is similar to Campari (which I also like in an angry scewdriver)

I'm a fan of the coaching carousel and have always appreciated your contributions when those discussions arise.

I think IU needs to bite the bullet and go with Beard. They would be relevant again immediately. And yes, Wade would fit perfectly at Ole Miss. If they go safe with Cronin, I can see Golden taking the UCLA job.

I think Gates stays at Mizzou, unless he wants an easier life in the ACC. I know some former players turned assistants are in the mix at FSU like Cassell and Dulkys. Leonard Hamilton has turned that into a good job.

Ryan Odom seems on the fast track to somewhere, possibly Virginia or Villanova. I would like to see Bryce Drew get another chance. He's a good coach. Good call with ASU, didn't think of that. If he wants to return to home then Butler could be a possibility for him as well. I think Mack is at Charleston another year or two.

McCasland to Texas seems like a natural fit though that would suck for Texas Tech to lose two coaches to Texas. I wonder if Texas had any Jai Lucas interest. Maybe down the road. Either way, Terry needs to be let go after this year. No need for further evaluation.

I think Minnesota moves on after this year. Nico Medved from Colorado State has been mentioned since he's from the state. Iowa will happen eventually. Mine as well do it now so they can snatch up McCollum.

I can see Jeff Capel and Kevin Keats getting canned, even though the latter made the Final 4 last year. Tony Skinn of George Mason could be a candidate for both jobs. He was a member of that '06 George Mason Final 4 team.

Anyhow, it should be a crazy cycle. I'll enjoy it as always.

I wonder if Indiana will take a look at Oats.

If you are shopping Luka to avoid his SuperMax then he’ll go public and you are trading a hostile player. That move cost him close to 116M on the next deal and you’d have to understand any public outburst.

I still think it could work out well for Dallas when AD is back. Max Christie has been solid for them as well so the youth part is overlooked IMO for what Dallas may get out of the deal.

Also they couldn’t just take on a rebuild because Irving can leave this offseason. They played politics and navigated it as best they could and still have a great chance to return to the Conference Finals if AD is healthy.
