Pitino is laying the wood to the self proclaimed best coach in the world.

Pitino in NY, especially St John’s is just poetic to me. All the olds are flat out loving it, and I don’t know what Bill Murray has to do with St John’s but it’s awesome to see him in the crowd.

Pitino is the best coach of our generation. He just wins, baby.

*Do any of you have a legitimate contact for donating shoes for people affected by the flooding?

They are mostly Heely's without the wheels (legal reasons). They all have plugs in them to prevent moisture/debris from getting inside.

I have over 1K pairs that are slightly scuffed and cannot be sold as new. Our customer wants us to destroy or donate, and I'd rather donate.

TIA.

It's not for flood victims, but this place would probably love all your shoes

Samaritan's Feet is probably the best around. You would probably have to call them to discuss this kind of volume.

-Would really like to see this team at full strength at least a few more games. They've been such a joy in the program's current transition.

-We played fine. Top 4 Bama at home after a couple lack luster performances. Without 2 of our top 3 players. No shame there at all. Young guys getting some great reps.

-Big Time Rec BB season came to end right as baseball is firing up. First year of Wee Ball for little man. Finally able to get outside and do some work yesterday afternoon. Just need Rax to nut up and join the dynasty. We have several GYERO(or GYERO Adjacent) on the team.

-We have more than 1000 pair of shoes piled up by our back door. 😬LMK where you donate, I'll send all of ours.

-For my fellow neurodivergent friends, these ONO rollers are pretty nice. Same for these Mobii fidgets.

-The Magnus Carlsen JRE was him at his best. No political talk. Just a really interesting interview about something I had no prior knowledge about, Chess. Highly recommend.

In honor of National Tortilla chip Day I present Chuy's chips, salsa and creamy jalapeno dip.

I’m on a very strict diet so I’ve completely cut out all junk food but every Saturday night I order a large bag of Chuy’s chips and a 16oz creamy jalepeno dip, along with a piece of their tres leches cake and house the entire thing while binge watching dateline after drugging my kids with melatonin

Honestly surprised that you never took it up.

If you want to learn/start; chess.com is invaluable. For a modest membership fee you get lessons, puzzles, etc. You can play bots online. The bots start at beginner level and as you advance, you can play more difficult ones. You can also play live games with other folks.

If nothing else, it's a great thing to teach your children.

If you want to learn about an intriguing chess player from the past, look up Paul Morphy on youtube. Fascinating guy, and one of the most elegant strategists the game has ever seen. He revolutionized chess, and honestly, he had zero competition; that's how advanced he was compared to players of his era. There wasn't chess theory then, as it exists today. If he lived today, and had access to "solved" databases and chess engines he'd probably be the GOAT.

My doggie just plunked down on the back deck to sunbathe….finally, warming up. What a gal!

Just dropped some coin on Snake River Farms box ‘o beef. They are not just giving away the beef🫤.

Yankees caved to allow beards. Eff that shit. Hal should’ve leaned into the restriction. George is rolling over. What’s next? Cotton uniforms?

Yanks spent their money well. Pen and rotation…Fortified all the holes except 3B. May get Vladdy at 1B, move Jazz to 3rd. Profit.

I think the team did well considering the circumstances but just ran out of steam at the end of both halves. However, the combination of 'studio dork' saying "It's impressive Alabama is doing this with Grant Nelson on the bench in foul trouble" and that assclown in the sport coat and New Blood Tee Shirt they kept showing, had me seething with anger most of the second half.
