My understanding is that snow plow drivers work essentially around the clock until the snow is gone. A few years ago, I did PT with the head maintenance guy at Asbury. Dude disappeared for a week during a terrible winter storm. When I next saw him, he said he'd been working 18-20 hours for days on end and sleeping in the cab of his truck to keep the campus open. Dude looked it, too.

A dude with a snow plow for his truck can flat rake this time of year. LFUCG trying to pay $16/hr may be part of the reason schools were closed so long.

* Eat shit, Nate Oats.

* The video bird feeder I got for my wife for Christmas has been absolutely clutch during the snow. The birds are clearly enjoying the free smorgasbord and my wife seems to love it. Best thing I've bought her since the pressure washer.

* In Houston this week, some cop killer shot the police dog that had him cornered in a dumpster. This being Texas, the police summarily killed him... and then dropped a helicopter into a parking lot for a Boost Mobile and airlifted the dog to an emergency vet.

The video looks like something out of Baghdad. Wild.

The TikTok ban decision should be released in 10 minutes, but I'd like to comment that our government looks like a clown show because of this.
  • Congress overwhelmingly approved the ban due to evidence of significant security threats (which were not made public)
  • But they put the ban in place for 1/17 as it would be the last working day of the current administration.
  • The chicken shit Supreme Court waited until the last second to make a decision
  • China bans Facebook, but we allow TikTok?
  • Both Trump and Biden signaled that they will not enforce the ban either way (even though Biden signed off on it).
What kind of chickenshit government do we operate?

Is this a rhetorical question?

2-10 or 3-9 next season. It's the early-mid 90s UK sports scenario all over again. Football sucks and is well nigh unwatchable, and basketball is cookin'.
I know many of you are football honks, but it's SO much better to be a basketball school. With football, you can enjoy watching random games - both NFL and college - without having a rooting interest for one of the teams. Other than March Madness, I can't remember a time I watched a full college basketball game when Kentucky wasn't in it. It would make Jan / Feb extremely boring.

Butler questionable for tomorrow and Carr probable.

Wilson announcing Thursday and read today that UNC’s NIL offer surpasses ours for the first time.

The smart test tells me that they’d have to significantly surpass our offer to get him though.

The only thing that makes sense with him tk UNc is if he’s simply going to chase the biggest bag and wants to have the offense mostly focus around him.

Can anyone help a Gen-Xer understand why folks are losing their minds about TikTok? Aren't there endless platforms that will do the same thing in 2025? I see grown-ass adults on social media breaking down in tears over TikTok. Are we that far gone as a society?
I assume some, or a lot, of it is from people who have monetized their accounts. But I’m older end of Gen X, so what do I know?

There aren’t platforms that do what TikTok does because no one has a tailored algorithm as good as theirs. It’s part of why it’s so addicting.

Vegas making us a small home team favorite over a higher ranked team is absolutely a boost of confidence for this one.

I like us as Butler/Sears is a wash and our guys to me are better at the up pace than they are especially with the game in Rupp.

Also Bama is not a terribly physical so I expect Jaxson to go off today!
