Supposedly, Kriisa's parents were in town for the weekend (from Europe, of course), and in a timeout near the end of the game, one of the other players pointed out that Kerr had 997 points and a three would get him to 1000. So the entire team was ok with him firing up a couple of threes to try to get to 1000 in front of his parents.

That's the story I just read.

Personally I’ve been sick of all the Mr. Nice Guy bs with Cal’s rosters the last several years. Kerr is a nice change of pace.
