GYERO

I think BVG is a practice warrior so it was hard for coaches to know what he was going to be in live game action where defenses really try to make you adjust.

He just seems like the kind of guy that when he knows what he is against it’s easy for him and he has the talent to look good.

Then the game starts.

- Just noticed that the political thread started a month before the archived GYERO, and has just shy of double the posts, and 2 million less views.

So essentially the same ten guys stroking eachother off all day, every day, for a decade.

Gotta marvel at the consistency of going that hard at anything for that long.

- Pretty cool seeing Pope bring out names like KTatum back to GYERO. Now we just need Chauncey/Dustin and we are full circle. And maybe Doc Boat too, even though I spotted him in Tommy’s Atlanta photos.

- I want my kid to rebound like Amari and shoot like Brea when he grows up.

- Helped my buddy get a job as a Toronto police officer a few years back. He went lightly viral for the greatest verbal warning in police history recently. Knew it was him as soon as I heard the voice:

I said right off the bat that BVG couldn't play, and took a lot of crap for it.
Clown, luv ya (generally), but why must anything be about you?

Especially when you swore it off?

You know we are kindred spirits, so you know I'm good when I say this, please, **** off for a while.

Love ya buddy.

Is Stoops to Purdue an Internet rumor I can run with?

They’ve got to at least make the change at QB next week. BVG has some jitters in the pocket that aren’t going away. Two plays in early he took himself out of the play and he never looks comfortable. Boley at least seems to give the offense some rhythm. Next week is our bowl game, see what you have.

We said the same about Sonny Dykes and a few others too I believe.

Not that it makes anyone wrong on Sumrall, but if anyone is expecting UK to make a home run hire I got some traditionally bad news for you.

Edit: Couldn’t ol boy at Iowa walk away? He has been there 20+ years and I think is in his late 60’s.

I’m shocked rogue made good on his threat of quitting for this long in response to being called out for his incel behaviour towards WS

Just finished the totality of vanderpump rules after about 6 months of chipping away at it with the Mrs. Given that some of the people on the show are in their early 40s now, it’s kind of surprising no one in this thread became a big reality tv star or social media influencer.

Crazy that BCG is a.) 65 and b.) still alive after so many years of pickling his liver and booze cruising

After all the shit I talked on the internet, did anyone have me becoming a columnist for a parenting magazine on their bingo cards?

You did this with Cal too. Can you just get on the hype train with us like you started with Pope and we call it a win/win?

We need ya buddy.

I’m sick of the mentally weak minded telling us what we can and can’t do. Same dummies telling us we would never win ten games in a season. Or telling us Cal was the best we can do. You have to be a contrarian not to admit what Coach Sumrall is and could be.

Look for Stoops to announce on Saturday night. I expect Sumrall to be hired quickly. Of course, that’s a guess. He wanted to leave years ago but he didn’t get the offer. That’s a fact and that’s why I said/believed he was leaving back then.

When I have a coach contacting me about an NIL deal. It was this week with a current player. That won’t be on the team next year? Why not someone who will be on the team next year? I think they’re trying to keep their word to players. That’s respectful. But I also think they’re gone.

With Cal I just knew we wouldn’t eat that much to fire a guy that is producing money and fielding a top 2-6 seed which is “success”. I also knew he wouldn’t leave, but I didn’t realize how dumb he was I guess.

I do think Stoops has enough common sense to know he wants and needs a break so I could see him accepting a deal to step down.

As far as the next coach I just don’t like the idea of “we can’t miss out on this guy” as that guys has flamed out before and Sumrall is the newest version.

I hope I’m wrong, if it happens, and our next coach crushes it. I’ll be on board the second a new coach is announced, but I also feel if Sumrall is so obvious he’ll have other offers too and then will he choose UK.

So I’m just doubtful of the whole situation.

Sumrall has Tulane in the top 20 in year one and is 32-6 as a head coach. He's already had three years that equal Sonny Dykes best year and Dykes had mediocrity all around that one year. We loved Sonny because he coached here, not because he was can't miss. We love Sumrall because he was the heart to Schlarman's soul on some of our best teams and clearly has a bright future ahead.

Don't overthink this.

If Louisville wins, I think he'll want out but I could see a scenario where we go out next week and win and it gives some people just enough hope in the future, this season is an outlier, blah blah, and that scares me because I think the SEC is in a state of disarray right now and we can either get a huge jump or fall completely to the bottom if we don't act fast.

I don't think Stoops is nearly as insulated or delusional as Cal is. It's really bad now and a loss next week will make it an ugly, ugly off-season, a ton of transfers, recruiting issues, finger pointing and I don't think Stoops will want to go through 12 months of misery and be persona non grata in this state.

They are more acquaintances of mine so I don't want to overstate it but my wife, and my in-laws specifically, are close with the Boleys and have been for 30+ years so this has been really neat watching someone you know go on to do big things at UK.

Not like the last two campaigns before this one were any good either. This year was his chance to get it right and he has failed spectacularly. And Louisville is going to spank us.
