GYERO

It has taken me a long time to get there but I’m officially out on stoops

This team does not have a talent problem, you’ll never convince me.

I see game day “lack of” execution and regression in performance and player development as the year goes on. Stupid ass mistakes. Not coaching players to make basic plays. Undisciplined.

None of those are acceptable for a coach making $9M a year. You don’t have the talent? Fine, I can accept that. But this ain’t it.

You just can’t always be the team that is

Undisciplined
Poor in special teams
Has questionable play calling
Continually give away pts bc of stupid penalties or
Cost yourselves pts bc of stupid penalties

That shit is coaching. Complete opposite of his first 8 years.

Does Stoops just cave to sunken cost fallacy or do they not watch QB's during practice?

Edit : What is that play call? Flood one corner of the endzone with no crosser?

At one point I convinced myself Boley was our guy and as a True FR I’d have to live with some stupid mistakes.

Then we got a 5* kid from UGA and I thought we got the next Tim Couch.

Turns out Boley is a damn gamer and I wonder what the season would have been with him getting all the reps and BVG went somewhere else when Coen left.

I won’t get too hard on BVG because he came here for Coen, struggled and I believe the WRs don’t trust him and he doesn’t trust the WRs.

It doesn’t help he can’t read past his first option meanwhile Boley is just laying balls down the seam, square outs are on point, scrambling to buy time at the right time, and against his body going left.

I said it last week but Boley, Wilcox, Gilmore and Rodriguez give me hope and if we can convince Key to come back then our position guys are going to be fun to watch.
