Gawd, those guys were connecting with some BOMBS. How they stayed up after some of those punches is absurd...
Just Google Arturo "Thunder" Gatti / "Irish" Micky Ward. They had a trilogy. What makes it extra great is they was actually really good friends. They would beat the shit out of each other for three minutes, then hug at the end of the rounds. Round 9 of Ward / Gatti 1 is considered one of if not the best round in boxing history. The documentary "Legendary Nights" is well worth the view. Do yourself a favor, watch round 9 and watch the documentary if you are a true boxing fan. You will be glad you did.

On Friday afternoon I thought that women's fighting was ridiculous and a sign that our society was in decay.

By 11 PM Friday evening I still think society is in decay, but goddammit I respect the hell out of those two women who were fighting. I'll tell you who I don't respect though: the judges who picked the Irish gal to win despite losing in total punches and total punches landed by a huge margin. That was BS.

Joe Brrr has more trips to the hair salon to get his hair highlighted than he does highlights this year. Ive given up NFL since the Cowboys made Dak the highest paid player of all time THE FIRST TIME but seeing NKY and Southern Ohio fans in shambles may be enough for me to pirate stream some games the rest of the year.

Not to mention, she had a point deducted and still got the decision. I actually thought Sorrano won BOTH fights.

-The Trump Dance craze is hilarious.

-I didn't mind the outcome of the women's fight. I felt like the Irish girl delivered more punishment. Probably closer to a draw. The thing about women's boxing/MMA, it's sometimes wildly entertaining because they don't have the power to knock each other out. So they end up just pummeling each other.

-Up to #9. Leggo.

I would buy and frame this.

LOL, I guess including headbutts Taylor did more damage, but unfortunately, headbutting is illegal and not a point of scoring in boxing (or UFC). Taylor could / should have been DQ'd. Serrano beat her ass even without Taylor losing the point. It was a terrible decision, 99% of the people who watched the fight, thought the same.
I have thought for years judges should have to post the scores at the end of each round. If they was forced to do that knowing people would hold their ass accountable, they would maybe score the fight accurately. Only a blind judge, or crooked one would have scored the fight for Taylor. I scored the fight 7-3 in rounds and 97-92 with the point deduction. No way Taylor won 7 rounds, it just didn't happen.

Anybody got 3 good tickets for the Nov 29th game (Georgia State)? I want to take my dad for his birthday (he's never been to Rupp). I would normally say I'm willing to pay big money, but I just found out I had a water leak between the meter and my house and they're digging up my front yard tomorrow. So let's just say I want a fair price.

What a weird feeling to see the Cats go UP 10 points in the poll early on as opposed to the usual gradual slide to being completely unranked.

Everything is new again. At the Duke game, I realized that I had not been to Catlanta to see the Cats since 2014. Had not attended a Champions Classic since 2018, the 34-point beatdown in Indy.

It's like we've been in purgatory (sometimes hell) since 2015 and are just now waking up. As the Duke game ended, I realized that I had not had the feeling of a somewhat unexpected, exhiliarating win that big, since again, maybe since 2014. At least not in person.

It's also nice to not to have to just gut out the first two months as our freshmen adjust to college, and await Camp Cal! so he can start implementing "offense".
