GYERO

- Starting to think this Pope is a MFer in Mormon clothing. I love the dude.

- And as a fellow GirlDad, feel I relate to him more than most of you toxic males.

- Guess who’s headed to Wrigley late summer to see Pearl Jam?

- Almost tequila and rum szn. ❤️

- Swift’s new album is terrific. Not her best but strong to quite strong.

- Look newborns suck. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. But once they get to be about 2.5 months old and start smiling and seeming to interact with you a bit, you really feel that love.

- Three year olds are totally nuts but they’re also the best. So much fun. So cute. Absolutely hilarious shit coming out of their mouths every minute.

While Hart MAY have an influence on JQ, bottom line is, it will all come down to the dinero. Is he worth it knowing more than likely year 2 is where he will pay dividends? He would help with depth year 1, maybe even surprise and be a solid contributor. Needing players like we do, you almost have to pay the price (unless it is ungodly). But with how crazy the portal is, it is not a sure thing, he may look around after his freshman year if things do not suit him.

UK and JQ not a thing anymore, per Graf. Sounds like Memphis is the winning bidder.
Good. I don't want a GD 16 year old.

Hell, I don't want anyone not named Travis Perry who can't drink legally. If JQ is good, pick him up out of the portal next year. This is the greatest market ever if you play it right. You can literally rent the best talent ever year and get rid of the guys who suck.

About time we started playing to win again.

- Strokin, you should see my search history. Whichever NSA agent is monitoring my phone and internet activity probably has some theories about wtf is wrong with me. Between the job, natural curiosity, and a fascination with the macabre...I don't think I want to see my own search history.

- If it takes you 90 minutes to walk 3.5 miles, you are probably the slow walker who insists on walking directly in front of me in crowded places, taking artificially tiny steps, which makes me want to commit felonious assault.

- headed to Wrigley for Cubs-Reds in early June. I haven't been to Chicago in 8 years and my husband has never been, so snackdown recommendations welcome.

- I try not to get too into the portal/recruiting, just because it moves so quickly and it would eat my entire day...but Pope hiring Alvin Brooks could change that. That would be a real dickswinger move for our favorite Mormon.

- I don't even know docboat but I have to agree with Anth that calling Pope by just his last name feels weird. I also hate the first name familiarity thing because it feels like something a low-rent UofL fan would do, so maybe Pope is the move after all.

- When will people learn that if you can afford the hitman, that's not a hitman, it's a cop?

Probably have said this here before, but:

Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder Co. on Clark Street.

Street level of a house that proclaims to be the lookout spot (that’s debated) for the mobsters that mowed down the other mobsters in the garage across the street during the St. V’s Day Massacre (no longer standing, but that part/location is confirmed).

The pot pie pizza is a given and novelty in its own right. But the real play is ordering the Mediterranean bread and the Chef’s salad. Mix together the creamy dill and poppy seed dressings that come with the salad for dipping the bread. Profit.

Cash only.

Haven’t dropped randoms/update in a while:

- I turn 40 this year.

- Ran my first presidential race (Super PAC) this past fall.

- Currently splitting a lot of time between DC and PA.

- Parents are getting old. Dad had a stroke and mom had a heart attack this year. Spending a lot of time traveling seeing/helping both of them (one is in Chicago, one in NC).

- Engaged to a great chick. We’ve been living together for over a year, she’s currently working on a project for a biotech firm in Silicon Valley, which has also added to my travel. Project ends in a few weeks and we’ll both be spending most of our time at my place in Philly.

She’ll be working with UPenn on a research project.

- We were going to make it official in Vegas in March, but with my mom’s health situation, timing wasn’t right.

- I’m cautiously in on Pope, after initial seething anger. Love the direction so far, trying to wait on results after being burned 80000 times the past couple years on expectations.

- REALLY want Johnell Davis. Dude is a game changer with Final Four experience.

- New England diners are the absolute shit. Red Arrow in Manchester, NH has some of the best food I’ve ever had. Pies are on another level.

- Southern Maine is now one of my favorite areas of the country. Such a chill and unique vibe to go with the picturesque beauty.

- Where is all this Scott Peterson is innocent stuff coming from over the past year? I guess there isn’t much physical evidence, but dude is guilty as it gets.

That was the first true crime case I really followed.

- I’m fascinated by the Idaho murder case with the four college students. Such crazy circumstances and actions by roommates, on top of the weird suspect.

This made me l-
I've thought about this a lot. I think it will be technically possible within a year or two.

Can AI maybe just take over for the NFL refs who have become TOO visible , TOO vocal & TOO "ROTC Boy Authoritarian " ?

I am PRETTY sure we can set up an arena to not need all the traditional referees - and we all KNOW they've become a little FLUSHED with power -

Outsource all the in/out of bounds decisions
Stop weighing in on the micro-seconds of activity being played and replayed to look for A FOOTBALL MOVE or perhaps - a REALLY personal foul

If i hear one more GD 5 part soliloquy fm Referee Rick explaining what they ruled vs what they Thought happened vs what the "Film Review" suggested, vs the "word from the booth" AND THEN YOU CITE YOUR WEBELOW LORE OF THE RULE # , section and subsection ....i will blow a testicle through my late spring shorts

AND YOU KNOW THOSE SNIDE ARROGANT DAMN ASS MUNCHERS ARE ON THE TAKE WITH LasWages!!!!

I know this post got off course but i will clean up shortly -

I'm just glad we're bringing in guys who are going to stick around for a few years. Was tired of that 1 and gone thing under Coach Cal.

I'm excited to see Mark get his chapter

If you start having bad thoughts just say the words Billy -- Gillespie while visualizing Perry Stevenson being directed to block a damn free throw against UGA in the SEC tournament

That dude went on medical leave fm Tarleton St late last season -

Hope Rod Strickland isn't still driving him around - whoahJesus

It's going to be a great feeling; to look at our team on the floor, and think "Those guys look too old/physically mature, to be playing NCAA basketball. That PF looks 35 plus/like he has a kid that's in HS right now"

Especially now that we're entering the MORMON MARKET!

Redshirt given to that young Uriah Yakob
Then he should get a Covid year
THEN he goes to Frakes for his 2 Year Mormon-Mission

We could EASILY import a couple of 26 yr old freshmen

Like a Ricky Blanton type but less of a dim-eyed drunkard

As a former NSA operative, I can assure you that, "for the record" interception and monitoring of domestic communications is forbidden.*

I thought we were dodging a bullet with JQ kicking rocks. Maybe I missed the memo about him being a MonSTAR.

Other than Z and Perry, wasn't it assumed that everyone was leaving, and that that was a necessary step towards moving on?

I am sure scouts and BBDK know way more than me but this scouting tape from 11 months ago is just awful, awful basketball. Wayne should take over as a coach.

JQ is a project.
As a 15 year old big, there’s tons to work with here.

But he requires coaching, something Calipari and his fat drunk friends haven’t done in almost a decade.

Congratulations @tommyg4uk - you’ve come a long way my guy.

Is part of being a political operative having as little online presence as possible?

Was trying to do some google creeping this morning and found like three things on you, and one of them was your ratemyprofessor page.

Hard to do in 2024!

I’ve been married 13 years this December. Prior to my lass, longest relationship was 6 months. Crazy how we seem to figure it out one day after a lot of bad decisions.

On one hand, yeah, fans going at players is a bad look.

On the other hand, grown adults getting on Instagram lives with college kids is kinda weird too.

With the money these “kids” are making/asking for/demanding I really can’t feel sorry for any of them. Especially if they get some criticism for leaving or not playing up to a certain level.

Yep. Have had it scrubbed a couple times.

And my name is really hard to spell…a lot of things posted about me good and bad have my name spelled incorrectly.

tommy - if you ever guide a candidate all the way to the White House, on inauguration night, you damn well better come out sporting that cape. I'll be sorely disappointed if you don't. (And then take a piss from the rooftop of the Watergate Hotel)

I'm going to start taking better care of myself, in the hopes that, before I croak, I get to see this happen.

My husband spotted who he thought was a porn star on SVU. Naturally, I googled "bridgette porn star" because he couldn't remember her whole name. (it's bridgette B. How he couldn't remember the B given her signature feature is the giant boobs is hilarious to me.)

So anyway, you're welcome NSA!

Congrats on Pearl Jam...Wrigley is a great concert stadium.

It's always tequila and rum season. And bourbon. And scotch.

Taylor is awful, unless you're 12. Truly awful.

Newborns are God's gifts. They definitely do not suck.

1 out of 4 there big guy.
