Also, I was overjoyed to see Ansley Almanor, on his first made three, fall down on his ass, because in his portal highlight tape, he did that at LEAST 30 times. LOL

Fresh and healthy food restaurant takes for Lex?
There are several good spots in Greyline Station.

others that can be healthy...
Miyako Poke Bowl is quick and somewhat inexpensive. If you want some Middle Eastern food, check out Nefertiti or Sahara. You can always do a plate of meat from Blue Door, or get a salad at Vinaigrette.

The only real disappointment was Garrison, he was a McDonald's All-American and our highest ranked transfer and was mostly an afterthought. He's only a sophomore though and there's actually a chance he'll be able to grow and develop here.

kook:

Taziki’s (don’t get me started on the terrible, incorrect spelling) on Southland is fresh, relatively healthy, and very customizable, if you dig Mediterranean. It’s a chain, but still very solid. Oasis in Chevy Chase is another option along those lines if local is more your preference.

The finest sight for me last night may have been Almonor. You didn't hear his name much over the summer. Idiots started to talk about how we should have went another direction. Now we see that he's what we've all been craving for such a long time, a stretch four that can consistently knock down corner 3s.

Taziki's is "fine" but Athenian Grill is much better. (also in Chevy Chase)

If he hit the rim on any of his 3's last night I certainly missed it.

What Noah lacks in general athleticism, he makes up for with hustle. He was working hard to get through screens and get rebounds when he wasn't drilling 3's. Big fan.

* It’s almost here. 3 straight days of T-Swift in the Superdome. I tried my best to get TF out this weekend but it didn’t materialize. These bitches are going to be insufferable.

* Had a random acquaintance ask to car camp and park in my driveway this weekend. That was a hard no.

* Just wrapped up the 6th annual running of the New Orleans Ultramarathon (and half) this weekend, and was a yuge success. Had to shut down registration and would have legit doubled in size if not.

We go totally rogue with no permits so there’s a max I feel comfortable hitting, and we even exceeded that. Tons of fun. A few course records (6:12 50 miler for the male winner!!). Lots of beer consumed.

I don’t want to exaggerate and say it’s one of a kind, but it’s pretty damn close.

* Keep having the thought running thru my head that I’m busier than a one peckered man in an ass eating contest, or whatever 80 Proof always says.

* Chappell Roan is, indeed, dope. Pretty amazing how much her look changed once Hollywood got ahold of her. Lots of old videos of her just signing in a trucker hat and a t shirt.

* Dog rescue up the street from me found a new home for a little terrier about 6 months ago, and then the guy escaped. So they’ve been trying to catch him every single day since. Camera footage, huge teams of volunteers, darting experts from around the country, etc. Like a huge manhunt for a famous criminal or something, and they finally caught him yesterday.

This business and its owner do amazing work for dogs and cats. She’s an absolute saint. So tip your hats to Zeus Place, and all hail Scrim. The most wanted dog in America.

* Don’t mean to flex, but ya boy was just appointed to the Board as Ambassador Chair for the local Chamber of Commerce.

Can’t wait to post that s*** on LinkedIn.

Been enjoying the Sleepers guys lately. Lots of Kentucky content on the channel. The white dude has been a major Mark Pope skeptic since the hire. Then has slowly come around because of the recruiting, but has still hated on this year's roster. Now he's eating crow after that performance last night.

Also, re: my basketball genius take that we need to be able to score with Butler, Oweh and Williams on the court if we want to make real noise... it's looking like a possibility.

All.. thanks.

Son took me to (HIS CHOICE- the all new) TollyHo last night after drive down. Are you effing kidding me? Pulling heartstrings won’t work anymore. Place is a goddamn dump. Barely touched burger.

I really haven’t eaten in a day or so, plus haven’t slept in around 3 days. 2am Hospital, IVs, 12 hour drives against doctors orders…Then,
HeavenHill bottle drop at 3am…scores a Parker’s.

So, gonna get meal now in Bardstown as I’m staying here.

SLLEEP… pick up boy in Lex tonight for a suggested HEALTHY offering and restart my time down here as it’s been a typical Kookfest of disastrous bad luck.

F that place. It's owned by one of the biggest corksoakers in town.

It’s awesome to see our players have “man” strength for once. Seriously Butler/Oweh has to be one of the strongest back courts in the country. I had no clue Oweh could shoot decent enough to pull the way he does without hesitation.

Oweh reminded me a lot of Azubuike.

Chandler reminds me of the old school Pitino style player that starts off and you can see the promise and by mid season you just have to find him minutes and as the minutes grow he just takes off and ends up on draft boards.

I have no clue who Almonor is. Literally never heard of him until his 2nd 3 ball, then he had one go in and out and was just always in the right spot and his shots were just on. What a depth piece.

That Williams/Garrison post combo is just going to be so nice to have. Watching those two as the season progress will make me laugh at the idea of forcing the ball on the block like Cal did. I expect the numbers without forcing that action.

All in all I posted I have no expectations but given the style of play, the upperclassmen, the talent and ability to shoot and defend you’ll have to really convince me this is not a F4 caliber roster.

Just got back from a previously mentioned chamber event, and while it’s not been publicly disclosed yet, we’ve got a special guest speaker for the upcoming annual luncheon.

- he’s the colonel of this MF’in tank
- he’s diggin ditches
- he never gave a F bout no hoes on his riches

I mean. The way all these 90s/00s rappers have become economic ambassadors is just amazing.
