-Tyler F*cking Ulis. Says a lot that Cal is giving him that much of a voice. Turn us into 2nd half 2016 South Carolina. PLEASE!!

-That passing in the 2nd half was US.

-Need to sweep this week. This is it for seeding. Sweep the week and we're off. Theiro's time to shine.

-Of all the wives at the Super Bowl, Kristin Juszcsyck is the most talented.

-If you report a post or a thread you're a f*cking douche bag. Just leave.

-Sounds like we're beginning to resolve the LIV/PGA stuff today. Hopefully it results in the best players playing against each other several times a year. Rather than watered down PGA events and cartoon like LIV events on the CW.

-I think I see that orange orb in the sky trying to peak through. Holy f*cking shit!! Head to the basement fat ankles. January ends today. 29 days to March and we can put this b*llshit behind us for 7 months.

Jay Williams absolutely ruined the end of that game. He is asking if the refs called a foul when they are in fact running off the court. Just a complete simpleton.
He has his old team to thank for that not being called a foul. I am sure after the backlash of Duke getting handed a win on the bogus foul call at the end of their game Saturday the refs were instructed to let it play out.

-Hold on, do people use jiggers at home to know if it’s a 2 oz pour or are we just eyeballing? Surely we’re not using jiggers, I don’t even use those at work.

-Looks like I have A Fib, May resolve from not drinking, may need meds(I won’t take the blood thinners if prescribed, that’s ridiculous) or laser a node. Will know more when the cardiologist calls.

Did get my final follow up moves from 3/20 to 2/14 thank God.

- Jay is an outspoken little bia! Also the ACC is trash.

- USC hit a few 3s down the stretch to take that W. That team plays a style Cal from 2019-2023 dreamed of. Thats on helluva week they just had even if last night is considered a trap for UT, they were at home looking forward to BBN.

- That said, we can’t afford to be looking ahead to Saturday. Come out firing tonight and put it away early.

- The Big East is just a sad shell of itself. UCONN has a stretch in 2 weeks that could be slightly interesting, but Marquette and Creighton as the main competition? I like Marquette but give me a break Gonzaga thinks that conference schedule is too easy.

- Met with our builder at lunch today to finalize sign contracts. It’s been work the past few weeks but we have dialed in about 80% of the project and that’s plenty for this guy and his subs to speed through this one.

- WTF is a jigger? I just pour to taste so whether it’s 2oz 3oz or 4oz I’d have no clue honestly.

Of course the BIG EAST will never be what it once was -- that was the pinnacle of college basketball. That was also over a decade ago, and closer to 25-30 years when it was truly golden.

But for restarting, they've done amazing imo. Bunch of basketball (only) schools, great fanbases, and gyms. Uconn is clearly the class currently, but it's far from an 'easy' schedule, for anyone in it. 4 of the last 9 nattys isn't too shabby. Infinitely better conference than the WCC or Pac whatever. Get real.

It's impossible to bet, I know that. Finally gave up on that conference mostly. You have UConn atop, and Depaul/Gtown in the cellar ---> in the middle, Nova, Marquette, St. John's, Creighton, Providence, Seton Hall, Butler, Xavier, etc....are all basically the same damn team, depending on the week/venue. Of course, a few of those are/should be better in the end, but it's impossible. I guess it's like that everywhere these days to a degree, just seems moreso there to me.

The Big East has three teams in the top 13. The West Coast Conference has 0 ranked teams.

I know exactly where to pour to in my bourbon glasses to get 2 oz and 3 oz. No need for the Jigga man.

Cats gonna get ish right tonight.

65 and sunny Saturday. May have to take the lil man fishing. Recently found out a cousin inherited some land with frontage on the Cumberland. Stoked.

I just pour to the middle of the glass. If shittier bourbon, add an ice cube or 2. If good bourbon, drink neat.

Speaking of neat, always like to give my buddy shit for the one time he ordered a bourbon, “neat with ice”. 😂😂

He truly had no clue.

I have my great grandparents jigger that they used. It’s a pretty cool looking metal contraption that sits on the shelf next to a couple of half full bottles that I no longer drink from. Any alcoholic worth their salt can “eyeball” a pour but I’d use it sometimes if I was making a drink for a friend that wasn’t trying to put hair on their chest.

I’ve grown to using jiggers when we have company and I’m making lots of cocktails, especially if my wife and her friends are drinking cocktails instead of wine. I’ve realized my “eyeball” of 2ozs is closer to 4 and I’ve had too many annoying sloppy nights with my wife to want to deal with it agsin

I can’t drink shit neat. I only drink water outside of alcohol and I can barely stand warm water let alone bourbon. Scotch is not supposed to be drank neat either. The more rocks the better for me make that shit cold.

Agree entirely! Horrible, lazy Krazy take. I love watching Big East basketball. And once Cooley gets settled in at GTown and DePaul hires Will Wade, there won't be a weak link in the conference.

Speaking of UConn, they struggled mightily at this time last year, much more than our current squad. Then they settled in with their nine man rotation, no player averaging over 30 minutes and went on to win the national title as a 4 seed.

In other words, we're fine, you miserable bitches!

That’s fine, I can be wrong, but we’ll see how many teams dance and how many of those teams make it past the first weekend.

I’ve mainly watched St John’s play most of the conference there’s just not much there to me.

Edit: I do agree the future is bright as Pitino grows St John’s, Cooley grows Georgetown etc that it gets better.

I’d also venture to guess if the ACC ends up split when FSU/UNC makes their move that a few teams could go back and that would help.

My comment was solely about this season and the lack of competition for UCONN.

Here is Ron pouring drinks:

I think he needs to look to kick it out when he drives (he did a good job at that in the 2nd half yesterday) and look for more pull up jumpers. I’d move him to the 2 and start Reed at point.
UK’s Journey video for the Arky game shows Tyler Ulis making this point at halftime and, after the game, Cal praising Wagner for being most coach-able.

Observations from the front line of public Ed:

- Teenager hygiene has always been a weird game of "guess who," but it is getting worse these days. I'm not even talking middle schoolers, either. I have 18 year old seniors that look rough, smell rough, and don't care. No shame.

Dry shampoo, Old Spice spray, AXE, etc. I'm at the point that if they are at least using that stuff, I'm grateful. Most just show up and Boom. Pet dander and stained pajama bottoms. Here you go.

Lots of dirty, unwashed kids out there making your fried chicken sandwiches and Reece's Peanut Butter Blizzards. FYI.

- Speaking of this generation, these older 20-something Gen-Z types that have the world all figured out can get dry pumped.

* They have ZERO sense of humor. I've never seen one smile or laugh in the wild.
* They know more about parenting than you.
* They know more about science than you.
* They know more about religion than you.
* They know more about social justice than you.
* The experiences you have had in your life don't matter. They already know about whatever those things are and aren't impressed. In the words of the great Pete Weber, "Who do you think you are? I am!"

I blame participation trophies and helicopter parenting. This bunch is THE WORST.

- The UT friendly sports radio talk shows coming out of Nashville scoff at the idea of sanctions handed down by the NCAA. It's a big ol' Nothing Burger. So that's that.

- UConn is HIM. They're the best team in the country right now. I hate it. Maybe they've peaked too early, but that group is legit. Big, nasty, strong, old, and mean. Oh yeah, they can shoot the shit out of it when they feel like it, too.

It makes me feel a little better that I was ready to anoint a Rick Barnes' Vols team as a HIM as well. They crapped the bed so maybe UConn will too.

- No sunlight is the worst thing about Ky winters. I can handle the rain, snow, winds, and temperature flux to a degree (lol). I can't take the dark gray in the mornings and driving home in the dark.

My classroom is in the interior of this building so I have no windows. It sucks, man. Even in the glorious spring and fall. So . . . I've tacked up plastic images of blue sky and sun over the fluorescent tubes of light. It dilutes the light a little, but it at least allows me to look at some blue skies.

Remember, if you can make it through February, you'll live another year.

I'm as excited about Richie's impending Disney World recap post as I've been about any future GYERO post in recent memory. Can't wait to see how he spins that tale.

Also, the Big East is great, for all the reasons already mentioned. A Big East tourney at the Garden is on my list.

I feel like there is some definite look-past risk for the game tonight with our guys looking past a Florida squad they just beat in order to get to the match-up for the SEC lead against Tennessee.

Hope I'm way wrong. I'd feel much better about our squad with a fun Rupp blowout against a solid Florida team.

Big East shoes I wore circa 1986 Air Hoyas

Taking wife to Death & Co Friday night. #TeamJigger

Tonight, we unleash Dilly. Book it.

Wife cleaned the house brilliantly this morning at 5 for the cleaning people🤨

Got a trailer hitch installed on my SUV. Gonna really use the bikes this spring. Officially sick of treadmill 5x a week.

Cape May for us next weekend. My zen place. Last year we had no heat in our room for a night and the hotel comped that evening and gave us some free drinks… 2 4oz pours of CYPB. Tasty.

Making some Jambalaya soon. Holy waaah.

DJ the one dapping everybody up walking off in the first half at Arky. Also talking them up in the first scene in the recap.

Him and Reed taking Ulis' advice and dropping it out to shooters on the drive >>>

Bradshaw nowhere near his best yet, but the kid tries. Had one of the kick outs to Reeves for a three late in the second half too.

Look if him, Edwards, and Adou are what we have for depth in the frontcourt, you have to feel good about that. Provided the head coach can decide on a rotation.

When the coach has to talk about how coachable one of his players is it indicates that he is dealing with someone that is NOT being coachable.

Probably Reed Shepherd
