- I didn't watch the game. Wasn't necessary. We all knew how that script would play out.
- The most important development in the upcoming offseason isn't how Cal will use the incoming mega-class. The most important development is the coaching carousel. Specifically, whether jobs like Kansas (if Self takes a run at the pros), Indiana (if Woodson decides the college game isn't for him), Syracuse (if Boeheim hangs it up), etc. come open. We know Texas will be open. That's the most important development. Will any of the prime candidates be taken out of the Kentucky equation in 2024 by accepting one of these potential destination jobs next year?
- Eight more losses this season. Six in the conference, one in the conference tournament, and one in the NCAA Tournament. Cal will have lost ELEVEN games with this bunch. But that's okay. He'll only lose eight with next year's bunch. What a legacy.
- Mitch gave a lifetime contract to this guy. Mitch has inexplicably kept Mingione around for another season. Mitch went ahead and gave Elzy the permanent job when she hadn't proven she could handle it, and now her team is scoring 44 at home against Murray State. Mitch is butchering the NIL possibilities for the football program. Mitch is pissing off the vast majority of football ticket-holders over the alcohol sales situation.
I'm sensing a pattern here.
- I'm not gonna let Cal's suckitude rob me of what is (so far) a really entertaining college hoops season. Tons of good teams, fun players, and high-level hoops being played. But the emotional investment is gone. I just can't bring myself to care anymore.
- SPOILER ALERT: Seven-seed, second-round loss to UConn up in Albany. There, I saved us all the trouble.
