Who will run the ball? No CROD, Smoke or Drennen? Is it just McClain and Wright in a game where we will need to run the ball 40-50 times?

-The redass is because we gritted out a win vs an unranked team for our first P5 win of the season. While our upperclassmen, once again, tried every manner possible to blow a comfortable lead in crunch time. Cal needs a couple nice performances before he's getting any f*cking slack from me.
-Mertz sounds a lot like Levis. Had a rocky couple of years, as their highest rated recruit ever if I read that right, but obviously it was a shit storm and they're not know for passing attack. I'm good with it. Grab the Vandy RB and a couple linemen and let's roll.
-I'd feel terrible if Levis was playing in the MCB. Got to imagine Stoops and his family felt the same way. I know he was advised to sit out the rest of the season after both his injuries and he played through it. Don't blame him for whatever bullshit Rich and Mark had going on with the offense. Wish CRod was playing, but I get it.
-Actually kinda excited to go into a game with no expectations and see the young guys get good run. Should be much more entertaining than watching that basketball game.

Chris Knight put on a damn fine show about 10-15 years ago, but he's WAY past his prime, and never was much of a true "entertainer" to begin with. Pretty sure he just hates people.

Hasn't come back since. Also saw him once in Steamboat Springs as part of a huge concert series with CoolCat and mmharmon. He was on stage with 2 other guys and they each took turns signing 1 song apiece, with 3-4 rounds of that. He had to be woken up each time it was his turn because he was so drunk/pilled/whatev.
Still love him, tho.

I don't blame Gino for going to UC back when he was 18. (10 minutes from his house compared to "home school" UK an hour and a half away).

I love the kid, but I don't think I'd want him as our OC (yet). He only had the play calling gig for one year at UC and they didn't exactly light it up this year. He was the passing game coordinator for the playoff team, though.

I'm perfectly fine with C Rod sitting out. I hope we treat this game as an early tryout for next year. Play all the young guys, run trick plays (now that our bonehead OC is gone), and let it all hang out. Really don't care if we win, tbh, except that 8-5 sounds a lot better than 7-6.

This has been alluded to already in this thread by Alumni but I truly believe Stoops will give Coen the reigns to the offense unlike any other coach he hires. For that reason alone, in spite of everything he did while he was here, it has to be Coen.
The makeup of our offense next year heavily implies a spread out passing game and there aren't a ton of people I would trust to get that done outside of him.

Levis playing hurt all year and probably risking his draft status makes me hate that giant gash Shaedon Sharpe even more. The only good thing about that whole fiasco was PTI referring to Cal as a cuck husband, which was apt.
In many ways, Louisville and Cincinnati are pretty much the same city.
Gino’s dad was my HS World Geography and he was awesome. When my dad found out, he said, “Don’t ever f*** with him.” (Which was not something that I needed to be told.)
My dad was friendly with him in the 70’s when they both worked at a Sears tire shop. One of the neighbor kids had accidentally stepped on his shoe during class change and he bitch slapped him right in the hallway. He was training Danny Fortson at the time and we got Danny Forston tall tales almost every day. Once he found out who my dad was, he gave me 99’s on every assignment for the semester.
There was a German kid in our class. He was always addressed as “Field Marshall.” Field Marshall would pay me to copy my papers for him. I would change the handwriting and a few words. I would get straight 99’s and he would get low 80’s and some 70’s for the same content.
We would watch VCR tapes of last week’s MMA fight for the entire period. To settle scores, he would bring in boxing gloves, move the desks, and let kids spar in the classroom.
What I’m saying is, I went to a terrible high school.

That Highlands era, over a span of 10 years or so, was something. Lorenzen, Derek Smith, another kid (Smith?) was a Tennessee OLineman, a Purdue DLineman (Grover), Guidugli, Justin Frisk, Mike Mitchell NFL, etal. Some knuckleheads, some criminals I believe, some recruiting shenanigan's. Glorious.

In HS, Gino and my nephew took a visit together to EKU. They were with the coaches at Madison Garden in Richmond when somebody said, Mr. G, your car is getting towed. He told my BIL to drive the car off the hauler/tow truck and told the driver to let it go. He failed to comply and Mr. G "allegedly" pulled the guy out of the truck and beat the shit out of him.
The coaches told them to leave and they would take care of it.
