—left Paducah at 4;20 Saturday morning and didn’t get in bed until 4:30 (3:30 with the change)Sunday morning.

—took a trip to the UK bookstore with buddy and his daughter. First time I’ve been around campus in 9 years. Goodness that whole area is completely different. I lived in Lexington for 10 years and was completely lost

—Uber from Georgetown to KSBar 32.00

—KSBar was pretty damn good. Excellent service, food was better than I expected. Limited menu for game days sucked, but I get it,

—Shuttle to and from game. Best 2 bucks I spent all weekend

—no need to discuss the game, been done already. But, I will say I miss how much fun it is to be in the stadium for the “big ones”. Just feels good. The ole gal was packed and it was loud.

—met up a buddy who was also in town with his gf afterwards at the bar. Last call at 12:30 is bullshit. Went to the Ho, stir in line for 30 minutes without moving. Screw that so we bounced.

—Uber at 2am to Georgetown 90.00 plus tip. Worth it.

—Drinks and swapping stories until 4am

—up and on the road at 11. Stopped at a Loves truck stop just outside E-Town for a quick 20 minute power nap. That and the small shroom cap my buddy gave me and I was golden.

—I finally must admit to myself I’m too old to be pulling all-nighters at this point. Probably the last one of those for old AW.

At the risk of coming across as naive, was the validity of Tourette's Guy ever proven/disproven?

I never found it very humorous, and (IMO) seemed ridiculously transparent/staged.

I just chalked it up to a few out of work actors, getting in on the ground floor of a then fledgling YouTube, and moved along.

So, I wonder if my suspicions ever proved true. (refuses to go on a fact dive about it. That's why I have GYERO)

Made a Carcerata dish tonight, fantastic and very easy! Nice glass of Chianti and now settled in to see what the Titans can do without Derrick Henry.

I've always just dialed them up on my cell (from the back of the line) and placed an order for pickup.

Get your food 15 minutes later and find a table (or take it with)

Obviously not the first time that dude has manned a grill during an all out brawl. Just flipping wings like he was at home in his backyard. Also, UCF seems like a nice school.

Speaking of UCF, I was just thinking about how they have the biggest undergrad student body in the country, I live in Florida and I have met nary a person that went to school there.

I don’t know any losers who go to Liberty, either, and yet they have ~ 100,000 students enrolled.

Speaking of Liberty University, whenever its founder Jerry Falwell died CNN had on Christopher Hitchens on to discuss Falwell's death.

Hitchens at one point blurted out "If you gave Jerry Falwell an enema, you could bury him in a matchbox!" CNN abruptly went to commercial and when they came back Hitchens was no longer on the show.

🤣

* After this weekend, my UK fan optimism is pretty, pretty low. I could use something like Dawg Carruth barking at Coach K tomorrow night -- assuming I'm awake at 12:30 to watch it.

* Ghislaine Maxwell's trial is set to start on November 29. *THAT* should be must see TV but I bet it barely gets covered.

After the UFO report disappointment, I could use some deep state speculation and wild conspiracy nonsense. Might start going to Infowars to see what's up.

-while frustrating as hell...and the last two losses piss me off: Stop with the same ol KY garbage, shitheads. 5-3 in conference and 9 reg season wins ain't the same ol KY.

^its possible to be pissed at lost opportunity/mad at the coaches...without falling back to this bullshit. I've seen a lot of shiity UK football, this ain't that.

-sec officiating is *nationally* known as a joke. That was the second missed facemask against those orange cocksuckers. The non call on the blatant hold by wr on their first TD was was a harbinger.

^need fulltime officials for p5 *with* accountability. God knows there is enough to cash to make it happen.

-moving on: weather was incredible yesterday. 4 hrs of pickleball/tennis in the sun helped to alleviate post loss blahs.

-sunday dinner: pintos w/ham hock in the crock pot. Topped w/fried egg/bacon/parsley and whatever hard cheese we had on hand.

-only murders in the building is a nice light watch. Martin/Carvey are national treasures.

Still hung over. I'm guessing I had 20+ ounces of bourbon. I don't do that. Usually cap it at 3-4 drinks. Spent the first half chatting with the nice old man next to me about all the latest recruiting news, future of the program, the bevy of UK football podcasts, etc., and then spent the second half using him as a literal, physical crutch. Embarrassing.

That hold on the first UT TD was right in front of our seats. I hollered about it to no avail.

I remember a few details from the second half. Facemasks and such. Offense was terrific. Still thought we were winning that game until we didn't convert the last 4th down.

With all of the huge talent upgrades the last few seasons, we somehow ended up with the Little Giants' cornerbacks. Everyone's focused on upgrades at receiver, but DB's are a bigger need, IMO. Clink saw the writing on the wall and bolted. Didn't want this group tarnishing his good name. Portal, please be kind.

Brad White gets a lot of grief for our recent pass defense, but probably deserves major props for hiding that weakness well enough to win the first 6 games.

Reasonably sure just about everyone on here feels that way. The last two losses though were real stingers, and when the wound is still fresh, it's difficult (for ME anyway) to acknowledge the bigger picture etc.

Warm weather bowl games is my expectation at the moment. Still can get there at 9-3. Hoping for outback bowl this year.

Do admit, we had a chance for more this year but just don’t think we are there yet. FL and LSU wins (while good) aren’t as good as we thought they would be.

Granted I'm no football but the last couple weeks on defense seem to go beyond talent and injuries.

-missstate was squarely on coaching/scheme...off a bye week nonetheless.

-ewetee was both. 2 of our top 3 dline missing=exposed weaknesses at corner. Tempo ate our lunch...Heupel(sp) looks like a thumb...but he out coached stoops my a mile.

-need coaches to grow/learn *and* add more depth to take the next step.

I'm not sure about that. As 80 said previously, our CBs are absolute garbage. Brad White was able to camouflage that earlier with our defensive line and safeties. Without McCall, Oxedine, and Wright, we are way down in the front 7. Paschal is our best defender since Josh Allen but he is not the human cheat code that Allen was.

I think we just got scouted and are now playing down to the level of our talent, which has taken a huge hit with the injuries.

Our corners didn't even deserve to be on the field with UT. Heupel should have just thrown to whoever Valentine was covering on every play and they probably would have beaten us by 30.

What an absolute shitshow of a sports weekend:

took my daughter down to the UK game. Our group left after UT’s last score. Heard the fireworks for UK’s touchdown as we left the stadium, the TEENS started getting excited but the dads wisely told them “it doesn’t matter, get in the car”

Sunday morning went to my son’s last soccer game of the season. They got smoked after being tied at halftime. Got home and watched the first half of the Bengals game and it was like Saturday night all over again. Turned it off at halftime….

… to take the boy to the FCC game. First time in the new stadium- which is awesome. Seats were right by a Gomez stand which was the highlight. Tied at halftime, lost 2-1.

Sports. Awesome. Really glad I picked this as a hobby.

Probably would have been better to let them experience UK football in its true form. Lessons to be learned.

Positives Heading Into Tuesday Night:

- God it feels good to have college basketball back. Can’t wait to sip on a Tuesday bourbon and enjoy the evening.

- Wheeler is a good dude, has a great attitude, is pest defensively, although small is sturdy, plays hard, and while not Travis Ford, you can’t just leave him open from deep.

- You can just tell Grady knows how to play. I’d like to see him become more assertive.

- Nice having some old guys. Have to think they’ll be more ready for the bright lights of MSG.

- Brooks needs to be a swiss army knife who focuses on making those around him better. I think he can do that.

- Toppin has the potential to be a turbo frontcourt sub.

- This team can shoot the shit out of the ball- 22-48 after two exhibitions for a smoking 46%. LFG. Move the ball and let it fly.

Watching us get roasted on a quick snap time and time again was what sent me over the brown water edge. Completely shook us from the get go.

-Yeah, losing your 2 badass interior defenders has opened up a bunch of issues.

-Win your early 2 swing games and lose the last 2, just a real dick punch.

-Positive note, looks like Cummings is becoming a real threat. That's nice.

-Also, great recruiting weekend for both sides. Big fan of Wallace, my second favorite get in the class.

-Whirlwind of a weekend, so I think I may posted it, but Ware, Hopkins, Collins, and Toppin all played equal or minutes than Allen and Mintz. That's what we're dealing with and I'm already losing my mind because he went right back to that inexcusable middle 2nd half lineup. He does realize you don't have to do line changes, right? Finally have a team full of shooters and thin interior and we're playing 2 bigs, minimum.

-Got as hammered as I have in a long time at a game, or before, most likely. Stupid ass shots. Once the damn things start it's like a race to do more and more. Eff that. Stayed up playing old school R&B until 1:30a. Then the 1 year old decides for the first time in his life to wake up hysterical at 5am. So I hear phantom cries for the next 2 hours. Get a half assed anxiety riddled nap mid day. Finally get situated enough to workout out, drink a ton of water, and 40 minutes in the sauna. Ended the day with a couple bourbons and more melatonin. Not too bad BUT let's not do the shotarama shit again, it's just not needed.

-BC was not great. Got smoked. Oh well. Thankfully didn't get screwed by that Friday debacle... because I lost my P5 way before that.

-Want to see how awful government is at anything? Try to navigate the SOS website. JFC, I'm about to throw my computer against a wall. And we trust these dumbasses to run our country.

-10p game followed by 6 workout, yippee.

-taking Thursday and Friday off...headed to Columbus Wednesday evening for the traveling van Gogh exhibit thing. Supposed to be *really* cool...not sure what the hell we're doing the other day... it's Columbus.

-odds I'll stay up and watch the game Tuesday? Under. That time slot is for the birds.

- I compete on Saturday, which means I weigh in Friday morning. I have to do a water cut for the first time ever. I already feel like I'm drowning myself. Two gallons today. 💀

- Didn't make it to Lex 'til quite a bit later than I had expected so we ended up going straight to Commonwealth. It royally SUCKS losing to UT, but it was a beautiful day for football and I enjoyed myself anyways. The tickets were my birthday present and fiance got us six rows up, right at the 25 yard line. The only other time I've had tickets that good was the UNC game at Rupp with the Davis block (suck it, Henson), and I expect it'll be about that long before I get to sit that low again. I also got him to wear blue for the first time in his entire life, which I count as a major victory on the day. Take the Ws where you find 'em.

- Levis scares the hell out of me the way he puts his body on the line, but I can't complain at all about his play. He left it all on the field and bailed the team out repeatedly and had a legit shot to pull off a W almost by himself. I can't understand anyone giving him grief for his play Saturday.

- I don't love how we use him sometimes, but I feel like I owe Chris Rodriguez an apology for the nasty things I yelled in the living room during the State game for how much better he was Saturday.

- Unsportsmanlike on a coach after a horrifically blown call is the most pussy move possible. But what a show of onions to get the 1st down with 4th and 24. Proud of the team's heart, anyway.

- Other than the goal line stand sacking Hooker a couple plays in a row, the defense was just outmatched. I was LIVID at them completely falling for that UT pass to the outside edge play 3 times in just the first half. I'll admit I don't know enough about football to say that was a player issue or a defensive scheme misread, but DAMN, guys.

- In rudd's frustrated, but not despairing camp with UK football. This 3 game skid is disheartening, but still sitting with the very real potential to win 9 games is not the same ol' Kentucky football. We may not be quite as close to the top as we thought, but the program is still headed in the right direction.

- In the "legit concerning" camp with my level of disinterest in basketball right now. I'm sure I'll get into it, but...

- After Aaron Rodgers' ridiculous appearance on Pat McAfee, JJ Redick was on and...he was great? I feel disgusted with myself that I found myself liking him. Similar to how I feel about really liking Tampa Tom Brady after years of hating his guts. CONFLICTING.

- Yesterday was the one year anniversary of our friend's fatal heart attack at age 31. Nothing profound to say; just strange to feel both how fast and how slow a year moves. RIP big guy.
