Damn the Titans straight handled Mahomes and KC. Was a bit surreal watching it live, but completely awesome as the seats were good and free.
I don’t expect we are really the best in the AFC, but we just beat the best team the last 2 years, and the Bills who are quite possibly the best this year.

Including a team they don’t even play this year!

Well I was never a Vols fan if that was what you are insinuating. My first 14 years were hell. All my hillbilly neighbors drove white vans with huge orange UT magnets on them. It was horrible!

Horrible take, 80. UKO, if I recall, is a Carolina fan. I lived in Carolina for a while and HATED UNC and Duke the entire time - with every ounce of my soul. I also lived in Tennessee, and as a kid my elementary school's mascot was the Vols, so I had to play basketball games in a full-on Vols uniform. Torture! I think my dad even cheered against us half the time because of it.
The only non-UK chops take I have is for UofL. Not growing up in the state, I didn't care about UofL at all. And while I've grown to dislike them quite a bit, I still don't consider them as bad as UT, UNC, Duke or IU.

Here's the thing Wayne, our basketball players dress the same way all black 18-22 year olds dress. So it's not so much that you hate our basketball team.
He seems to be enjoying himself a lot more than I had hoped. Hopefully Ol Uncle Vince can keep him here.

-Took off Friday and went fishing, had a solid day hiking around catching trout.
-30#'s of sausage made on Saturday. By far our best batch and effort to make the process more efficient
-BBdk compared TyTy to Steph Curry. So... look, I'm excited about the kid, he looks the part, but we've seen some really talented freshmen PGs struggle early. Too much scar tissue there to just buy in 110% on him being Trae or Steph.
-Next two weeks on the gridiron take this from a good year to one of the best in school history, sweep and you're going 11-1, with only loss to the #1 team in the country. If the west beats up on itself some more, Ole Miss and Bama lose, then you could potentially slide into the playoffs. Regardless you're looking at a top 5-6 national ranking. Big stuff. At worst you have to split them. I think we take em both, tbh.

-I'm guessing LSU doesn't get further than Jimbo, Lane or Tucker but if I was picking it would be Fickell. What does that dude have to do to earn a big job?
-Lost another uncle. Good dude, die hard UK fan, worked at Coke for his entire life, smoked like a train, drank cheap beer basically all afternoon. No kids, so he had a cool setup as his house, pool table, bumper pool 😮, swimming pool with diving board, sweet bar with all kinds of old school Coke memorabilia. The works. Wasn't nearly as close with him as my last uncle but gotta respect anyone named Jack Daniel Duffy, and He did the name justice, that's for sure.

(Feel like this a good point of the story to say I can't wait for the Bengals to collapse, which you all know is inevitable.) That's literally worse than losing. - I assume that if we make it to the end of October without Goodwin decommitting, he's headed here. Feels like the longer he's back from Tuscaloosa, and the more Marrow can work on him, the more solid he'll be.
- One of my evergreen GYERO comments is the decline of the Cats Pause Basketball Yearbook, but this year's was an abomination. No recruiting section at all. No rosters or schedules for in-state schools. Any editor worth their salt would have corrected the dozen or so misspellings, grammatical errors, and nonsensical sentences I've already noticed. But hey, at least we get pics of the women's basketball team in ill-fitting clothes.
- Gotta think that the only people outside of Houston who are pulling for the Astros this week are A) People who really want to see Dusty get one, and B) Native Americans.
- Assume that Fickell is holding out for either Penn State, Notre Dame, or Ohio State. Don't blame him. Each of those is right in his wheelhouse, in terms of geography and style.
- I'm ready for sportswriters to retire the "empty seats" tweets. It's 2021. A lot of people are still anxious about being in crowds. Every event is televised in 4k or whatever. Unless the bottom has fallen out of a program and the attendance is clearly a referendum on the coach, nobody cares.
- Looks like Jeff Ross and Tom Segura joined in Rogan and Chappelle's show last night in Nashville. Goodness gracious what a lineup.
- Chicken tikka masala.
- Bowl projections where Kentucky is slotted in the Fiesta to face Michigan >>>>> bowl projections where Kentucky scraps out six wins to head to the Birmingham Bowl to face Get Pumped State.

No, I literally hate our basketball team, at least the ones from last year. Not a redeemable soul on the team other than Mintz. And if that’s how black kids dress today then they need to change that shit quickly. It’s the black person equivalent of hair bands in the 80’s (also terrible).
