Mags made it seem like the FSU ship sailed since they didn't hire him last year.

They chose that dude over Stoops….

Stoops turned it down, there’s no way. And if he didn’t turn it down, and they hired that dude over him, then lol f you. I’m not coaching there. Right?

I remember sitting at Commonwealth in late November 2012 during Joker’s last game in front of maybe 20,000 fans in the freezing cold. UK’s talent level was maybe the worst in all of Power 5 football and the stadium looked outdated and tired.

Here we are 9 years later with top 15 national facilities, knocking down doors in the SEC, winning a ton of games, beating traditional powerhouses in bowl games and having fun. Its nothing short of amazing what Mark Stoops has created. No matter what happens tomorrow I have full confidence those kids are going to play their collective asses off and make Georgia feel it the next morning.

So speaking of gambol, anyone watch last nights fixed episode of Thursday Night Football?

Sheesh! Make it less obvious.

A coach who can recruit like Stoops can at UK would think that he could lead the nation in recruiting at a place like FSU. That is what would be attractive to him about that job. And there are other jobs like it.

I think krazy found his opportunity to get in the dog house for another football game by making a $500 bet with a millionaire.

My wife does not care, or want to know anything about my gambol.

But I make sure when I’m up big(like right now) I show her anyway, then buy her a few things, then proceed to lose it all.

When I’m in the dog house believe me, I’ve earned it. For example today she has a 1pm eyelash appt and I’m supposed to make it home to relieve her from the 2yr old and demented stepdad.

I may take too long tasting bourbon at the distillery though, especially if she keeps calling all morning to remind me of my obligations.

As time goes on, the list of schools he would leave for is shrinking. I won't list all the reasons we all know that makes UK attractive. But there seems to be a new reason. If Marrow delivers on this belief that the 2023 class and beyond is going to be SEC caliber elite, perhaps we can compete with the big boys consistently.
Maybe I'm a Homer, but I think that FSU ship might have sailed. Them being a dumpster fire helps also.
It also seems like regardless of the job, if you aren't in the SEC, you are on the outside looking in.
He might leave tomorrow for all I know, but I like our chances. We just need an AD that isn't the world's largest pussy to give him what he needs.

Firmly in the belief that Stoops isn’t leaving, period. 😤

My son isn’t applying for anything, he’s a dog. I let that kid run every morning at 7 and after dark before anyone is awake/still up to complain.

I feel great about abortion.

We ain’t beating Georgia, we also ain’t getting smacked in the face. These boys don’t play that style.

College fball is an amazing sport, I know it’s the SEC’s saying but it really does mean more. It really just does. That’s why when you come down to play the SEC you usually lose. Good luck OU and UT(exas), we’ve been doing this for 89 years. It’s not easy. $721 million, almost doubled the big 12. Plus, once those two join they expect the SEC to generate as much money as the entire NCAA. Don’t doubt Southerners and their love of college fball.

Assuming the only reason it was drug into court is because of the crazy amount of media attention when it happened.
Maybe there were other reasons it went to court... like... the young man admitting to drinking and driving, hitting a kid, saying "it's very possible" he ran off the road to the cop, having a BAC over the legal limit, etc.

Or it could've just been media attention.

I mean it was unanimous not guilty in like 4 hours. But whatever axe you have to grind. The whole thing sucked and was obviously a terrible accident.

Man, it's unbelievable the amount of big wins we can now fondly recall in the Stoops era. That win at Florida and the Citrus Bowl feel like a lifetime ago. The program should have no doubt that they can win tomorrow given our history, which is the most remarkable thing to it all for me. In fact, I would be more shocked if Georgia covers than if Kentucky wins. I really believe that.

0.002 is a joke and he shouldn’t go to jail because he happened to be a particular age that other exactly the same college students can drive. Because you’re 3 years younger doesn’t make you any more or less responsible. Were those folks at a crosswalk? I honestly don’t know but I know people cross all day/night long, as I do myself, not being at a crosswalk. People get hit crossing at random places all the time in KW. When you do that it’s on you. I also don’t have a 4 year old with me.

- Been pushing that Panera hate for years now. Welcome to the party.

- My daughter has somehow managed to have accidents involving all three of our vehicles over a span of 24 hours. Teenagers, man.

- I don't think Stoops is going anywhere. HAVING SAID THAT, the landscape at Kentucky has changed so much since he's arrived that MB (or whoever the AD would be at the time) could go several different directions:

Rising stars who are still probably too green for an SEC job: Hafley (BC), Healy (Charlotte), Lewis (Kent St.)
Next-big-things: Chadwell (Coastal), Napier (Louisiana)
Group of Five guys who are proven program-builders: Dykes (SMU), Clark (UAB), Norvell (Nevada)
Raid the Big 12: Aranda (Baylor)
Second-chance SEC guys: Gus and Freeze

I realize that not all of these guys would leave for Kentucky, and I realize that not all of these are guys who Mitch would even look at (Freeze). But the fact that there would be this many legitimate options for Kentucky shows how far the program has come. And this doesn't even count coordinators who are ready for their first college HC job. As someone else said, I thought NB was the natural next guy, but he hasn't proven much at WV yet.

Of that bunch, I'd probably swing for the fences with Freeze. Then it'd be Dykes/Clark/Napier.

- I know nobody cares about baseballsucka, but that game last night had palpable buzz, which makes it all the worse that it ended on a botched call.

- Gonna spend the day working in an empty office, throwing back DMD's, reading all the CFB material I can find, and reveling in the Kraken's first-ever franchise victory. Cats cover, fellas.

We’re SEC, so you can completely eliminate any discussion of finances. I mean unless some T Boone-like crazed lunatic jumps in and helps guarantee a $20 million/year payday, we’re not getting outbid for our coach.

The thing Stoops will and should look at is his ability to win. If Marrow keeps recruiting and we bring back a bunch of talent for 2022, then leaving seems way less likely.

There’s tons of “better jobs” out there than UK, but it doesn’t make sense for him to leave the strong program he’s built and all it’s upside for a rebuilding job elsewhere.

If Stoops leaves, and that's a huge if, I think you hire from within and move Brad White up as the main man. What he's done with our Defense has been pretty unbelievable and he's going to get an offer sooner than later to either be a HC or get a DC offer for what he's worth. Like most of UK's Coordinators, extremely underpaid versus the rest of the SEC coordinators. Hope to retain Sumrall and move him to Defensive Coordinator. Hoping Liam would stay but who knows. I imagine if he does stay a few seasons and the offense flourishes, he's only here on loan anyways.

Marrow would almost 100% be gone with either Stoops or some Big 10 School.

But, in a perfect world, Stoops stays, the staff stays, Mitch opens up the checkbooks to keep them ALL & keep them happy, and they rip out the damn track in the indoor practice facility with a quickness.

But whoever started this "Rex Chapman" type of Stoops is discussion, please go DIAF.

Hate to say it, but it depends on how you grew up. If you saw that stuff all the time growing up you may feel differently. People don’t like cock fighting and think it’s gross, it is, but I saw it plenty and it doesn’t bother me. I see people every day that think “someone should do something” about hens/roosters fighting each other in the street…umm that’s nature. Just because you’re a badass college qb that gets a 100 million contract doesn’t mean you’re a bad person because you grew up different.

I’m for second chances in many instances but not for murdering dogs. The image of bait dogs pancaking and being dragged into a ring with a ferocious pitbull makes me sick to my stomach.
It's awful for sure. So is being raised in poverty and taught that things like that are okay.

Vick has served time in prison, lost a good portion of his career, and spent a lot of his time and money since his release working to change that sort of culture.

Must be extra hard to see from your pedestal of white privilege. 😕
