What’s your name? You do know those people you routinely name drop are lifelong friends, employees, & family of the GYERO Madtown plugs, right? Ain’t no future in yo frontin, and That’s what it do.

Throw your hood up or we ain’t claimin you bruh. Keep it one Hunnit or you a lame

I do know they are your friends , employees, etc. Hell your uncle Stuart was my dentist for a while. All I ever said was I played golf at MCC with them, and was Jimmy's D player for a scramble once here in BG at Crosswinds when his D player didn't show up. Not really name dropping as you called it. Frontin ? LOL, saying you played golf with someone is name dropping and frontin?? Never said I hung out at their crib or went on vacation with them. On the flip side, did you ever hoop anywhere other than the Y ? If so, name who you played with ? Ever play behind Rosewood ? If you ain't never balled on the courts on MLK Blvd. then you got no cred. Hell I doubt you ever ran at the City Park.

Applied to W&L. Didn’t get accepted so I looked at Hampden Sydney, which was an all boys liberal arts school in Farmville, Va.

In late February during my visit it was 43 degrees and rainy. No girls. All I did socially was sit some dude’s dorm room ripping bong hits which was fine but I was like where’s the parties with girls? The next morning we got up and drove to Charleston. Got out the car near King St & campus and it was 73 & sunny. There was all of this smoke out and about walking around town. Palm trees. I was like holy shit.

Know two guys that went to Hampton Syndney - both douchebags in different ways and their description of the place sounds awful. Can’t imagine going to a boys only college and spending a fortune for it while pretending it was some high class place. Also a bunch of coke heads.

I was born in FarmVille and lived in So Central Va most of my pre-18 life. Hated it as a kid. I would go back in a heartbeat if job wasn’t a factor, love those rural small towns

Shenandoah Valley (W&L, JMU & UVa) is a good bet for my retirement. Ton of small colleges and prep schools spread out in central Va.

Touch NoVa and Eastern Shore though.

Thought Mizoo gave a hell of an effort today trying to keep Bama undefeated in conference.

Just came up a little short.

SAE-Same asshoes everywhere.

Jk-I was good friends with several of them at UK (including double secret roommate). I never really considered them, I got locked up quick with Delta love and have been very happy with my choice. Had dinner with a couple Bros last night at Ruby’s.

Never thought about any Virginia schools, but didn’t have any experience until I did a fellowship at VCU. Richmond was fine. Vanderbilt was the closest I came to college other than UK, but didn’t get enough scholarship money.

Sitting here getting a pedi with the wife. I’m such a considerate husband. Kind of enjoyable really.

Tom gets number 7 tomorrow, should be a great game.

There was a buddy of mine in high school who was dead set on going to Hampden Sydney. Good looking dude, great athlete, good student and a nice guy... could have gone anywhere and crushed it, but several of his family members were legacies so I guess it was ingrained in him. I remember asking him why he wanted to go to a college with no girls. He gave me this, “, there are all kinds of all-women schools near by. There are girls all over the place.”

I went to UK and selected Haggin Hall because I went to visit Clemson and the all guys dorms were the party dorms, whereas the coed dorms had all sorts of rules. I quickly learned the severe disadvantage I had just by living in Haggin compared to my buddies in Kirwin Tower. Proximity is so key.

So back to my bud at HS. He did what Richie was talking about. Lots of late nights with the boys ripping bong hits, and they did have parties with girls on the weekend, but it was definitely harder to meet girls as you eliminated any chance to meet them in class, at the cafeteria or in your dorm. He said he still liked HS, but he sure did make a lot of trips to visit the rest of our high school friends at the various State U’s we went to. And I know he wouldn’t have done it again.

If you need a + girl/boy ratio you’re the kind of guy that it won’t help.

That’s a stupid statement. Life is a numbers game. For instance, Charlotte used to be like 2+-1 guys to girls in terms of young professionals due to all the finance work. Plus the guys were pretty successful too. I was married when I worked out of an office there, but there were young women in my office who were not that attractive telling me that they were in heaven. Dates every night of the week.

I mean, if you went to a major university (20k+ Students) there were enough fish in the pond to get something done whenever. Had almost a full ride to Centre but didn’t think it would be big enough for me.

Obviously some tactics could help put you in the game (pledge class mixers/date parties) were very positive experiences for me. Some of my best work was done in the library. But there’s more than one way to skin a cat.

Why don’t you fellas exchange emails and hash it out in there.

Man, here I always thought Wynn went to William & Mary. Hard keeping track of all those Virginia schools.

Virginia is a cool state with tons of history and character but is low key one of the snottiest damn states in the entire Union.

My mother is from Leesburg (horse country of Virginia) and as a child I’d go to these family reunions. For Christ’s sake these assholes had me falsely convinced as a youth they were all descendants of the founding fathers.

In today's political climate, good thing they were lying. Don't want to see:

#CANCELIsRichieGonnaStart is now trending.

What was the incidence of men sleeping with men at the all boy schools? Higher or lower than prison?

KY is going to be like Paducah - finally putting in a big sports complex to host travel tournaments.......only it is a decade too late.

- The Left is also going to import 125K refugees and give them free room and board while Americans sleep on the streets.

Virginia about to legalize marijuana

The Left getting it done, I guess.
We will be surrounded by states that allow gambling and/or weed, yet here we sit.

Another issue that should draw a concensus that apparently does not.

Green Jobs I can get behind:
According to the Commission's report, up to approximately 18,000 jobs would be created within a few years of the program.

Good thing Kentucky is flush with cash and doesn't need:

The report said that within years after commercial sales of marijuana began, the state could net somewhere between $147 to $250 million from the sale of marijuana

When I interned for Ernie Fletcher in law school, I spent a summer secretly researching whether it would be possible to legalize casino gambling without amending the state constitution (summary - it’s not). He actually was hell bent on passing that and it being his signature legacy. But David Williams and the republican senate was hell bent against it. Thus the need for the constitutional work-around.

I bring it up just to point out that it’s not a problem because of Republicans. The majority of the business/country club republican set want gambling/reefer, as evidenced by governor Ernie. It’s a problem because of evangelicals. And republican legislators are dependent on evangelical votes/support so they can’t cross them. Same reason why you see members of Congress bending over backwards to not boot out that crazy wack job who believes in the space lasers.

The religious right has done more to keep this state marginalized than any other single demographic group.
