I love Keeneland.

Ain't big on the crowds anymore and the pomp and circumstance bores me.

Yes, you look like a f'ing idiot in your stupid ass gettup just like I did 30 years ago.

I just want to bet the horses and lose money I can afford to lose.

Anth ain't got nothing on John Boy from 1992.

Accountant driving a red 325i and listening to shittier music than Anth ever thought about.

It's funny, the first experience at the races for me was 77 maybe, Kentucky Derby. I know I did not go in 78/79 because I never saw a triple crown winner.

I was fortunate to travel some up to New York as a kid from Pike County.

The Derby though, whew!

Young kid, standing around the paddock, looking up and seeing Telly Savalas?

Swear it had to take 5 people to carry his balls when it came to the derby back then.

Dude was a pimp!

There ya go. I don't think I was at the Derby in those 2 consecutive years of the triple crown winners. I know the last 2 years I went were 80 and 82.

The parents us kids would go with always stayed in Lexington right by 64. Same hotel and they always put on the marquee, WELCOME EMORY OWENS AND FAMILY

Done the "double" three times... one for a football game, one a big blue madness and one a spring scrimmage (I understand two of those aren't true doubles)

----> The best one for me was the BBM one... Won a little money and in between gained more carnal knowledge of my girlfriend and ate Long John Silvers. What a time it was to be alive.

* I’m having back surgery on Tuesday; a microdiscectomy. Outpatient and minimally invasive, so it should be fine. I was a little nervous when the surgeon recommended it, not that I have ever been afraid of surgery, but surgery on my spine gives me a pause. It is totally irrational, but I felt immediately reassured and more secure in the decision, when the surgeon remarked that we are neighbors after looking at my information. 😬

The post-op instructions say that l am not to lift anything heavier than a coffee cup or a newspaper for 3 months; also no bending or twisting. UGH!

My daughter is coming to stay with me for a month, which is awesome and I am grateful that she can do that, but I hate hate hate having to depend on anyone to do things for me. Still I need to count my blessings and be grateful that I can get a pain free, mobile life back.

* Discovered a new beer that I really like. Shiner Candied Pecan. Yum.

* Totally hooked on Your Honor, but not in a good way. It just is inevitable that the train is going to wreck in a horrible fashion, but I can’t stop watching, all the while dreading the ending.

* It may not be a popular stance, but I feel for all these kids on our basketball team. They all try really hard. I don’t think lack of effort is an issue. Like everyone else, I am tired of, and angry about lineups that are detrimental to winning and make no logical sense.

My brother had back surgery Monday, quite possible at the same hospital, and while all seemed to go just fine his testicles turned black and swelled up like grapefruits less than 24 hours later. Hope this doesn’t happen to you.

Good luck with your back and your balls Terie.

I did not engage in the GameStop or AMC. Funny was gonna jump on Amc just to have fun with the ksr guys but missed my limit by like 10 cents, never acquired it and then boom. Good luck to them.

Gamestop premarket back up around 336.

Thanks, bud. I think I’ll cancel my reservation now, go pick up the kids and stay at home all weekend watching Sophia The First on the repeat while my 2.5 year old tells me to get out of the living room.
At this point I think I’d be happy with a room at the Comfort Inn. The tv doesn’t even have to work as long as there are no questions, no talking and no dishes or laundry.

I don't think I recommended you cancel your reservation Richie but I apologize for (apparently) upsetting you.

I just really like the Brown Hotel but thamks for the condescending smug reply

Sorry for posting... one of these days I'll learn my lesson.

Richie's lass told mine that she was looking forward to just lounging around the room, getting some needed naps in, hitting the spa, etc.. Not stressed or angry, basically.

Enjoy, bub.
I'm so jealous it actually hurts a little bit. That sounds unreal, tbh. Plus, we all know about that hotel lovin. 😉
