That's what Notre Dame can do. They can spurt on you quietly.

I'm rooting for Duke. Get UNC off that one line and as a 2, we avoid them. Of course, that may make Duke our 3, which I'd also prefer to avoid.

The more I think about it I'd rather avoid Duke in the sweet 16 as our 3 (which would be a lock) than worry about UNC being our 1. Pulling for UNC until something in the game annoys me and I switch. Let's push Duke to the 4 seed line.

Avoiding UofL for my own sanity would be nice but I do really like bouncing those assholes out of the tourney.

Duke will be our 3. Book it. 25 year anniversary of the shot.

*If Duke is a 3 and we aren't in the Unc region.

If South Carolina beats Ole Miss will that drop them into the 8/9 game against Tennessee and move Georgia up to the 7 seed and away from us?

ACC will have a 1 seed, period -- as they should.

If Duke loses tonight, they're going to be the #5 seed, and UVA the #6 seed...in the ACC Tournament. That's pretty silly. Hate all you want, but that conference is unreal this season.

Kansas is the #1 overall seed -- but they also suck. Just look at 2014 when they lost to a bad team in the tournament.

I agree with Max that nobody is going to win the NCAA Tournament this season.

Lunardi was on tv earlier saying North Carolina should be not just a 1 seed, but the overall 1 seed. That seems absolutely absurd to me.
It is, unless Carolina wins out between now and selection Sunday.

But if they don't, that would mean they have at least 7 losses. Since the expansion to 64, there have been 4 top seeds with 7 losses, most recently Virginia last year.

There has never been a #1 seed with 8 losses.

And just for fun, the worst W/L record of any #1 seed was Illinois in 2001, who went 24-7.

I don't believe anyone thinks a team from the ACC doesn't deserve a 1 seed. But UNC does not deserve the overall 1 seed. They just don't.

If they win tonight, and then win the gauntlet that will be the ACC Tournament they have an argument (and a strong one) Only other team in the conversation would be Kansas, who's Kenpom Luck rating is #1 of all time last time I talked to Chad.

Who else you think deserves it in that scenario, Chase? Kates?

I agree today -- but not if UNC wins the ACC (which they already have) and then follows that up with the ACCT (if Kansas loses).

It would be close. I've been on record for months about KU being the best team, imo, in the country.

Also don't give a single bit of AF who's the "#1 overall seed", if you're scoring at home. Really means nothing, no advantage gained at all by having that designation.
