I agree with you but the coaches are in a tough spot. Johnson rallied the team to 7 wins last year when the coaches jobs were on the hot seat. Now I know the run game is mostly responsible for that but the team responded to Johnson even though he had some really bad games along the way. Hoak in the BW Game looked the way I thought Barker would look when he came here. Hopefully Barker is healthy and we will have a battle for #2.

Options are good. Competition is good. Being prepared like SJ was last year is good. We saw last year that a QB other than the starter will get snaps, perhaps starter snaps. This kind of depth is a positive. I also think our team may actually be mature enough to trust the coaches' decision and play at a high level, regardless of the starter.

I really liked his showing in the B/W game. Showed lots of poise and seemed to have some very good natural instinct. Gunnar could be the best QB on the team IMO. Looking forward to seeing him against some SEC defense's.

I now do not fear injuries as before - cause this kid is our future - he will be a MAN CHILD in Gran's O and will get opportunities this upcoming season to get true play under his belt.
