Hoak went 5-18 for 81 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs in his final game. Honestly, I can't recall a SEC Qb commit having as terrible of a senior season as this kid has had. There was a lot of preseason hype for this kid because his team was returning so many senior starters along the oline and at wr.
Several posters here maintained that the reason Dawson offered him while virtually no other power 5 teams did was because of his accuracy. Well, the numbers simply don't support that claim. As of a few weeks ago his completion percentage was sub 60% with a troubling td/int ratio. Not sure where he finished there for the season, but wasn't good.
With that being said, I think the depth at QB headed into year 4 of the Stoops era is staggering to say the least. We know what we have with Towles, which simply isn't much. He's proven that he can't lead this program in SEC play. Where does that leave us? Barker, Phillips, and Hoak. We better hope and pray that Barkeris the answer and that he goes through the season injury free. If not, we're totally screwed at that position, yet again.
