@KINGBEAST Your positive energy is rubbing off on me right now. It’s looking like it’s going to be a fun year to be a Cat fan. Things aren’t perfect, but this world wasn’t made to be perfect.
Football:
We are a preseason top 25 team. Say that again and pinch yourself. We just wanted a competitive team…we’re now ranked in the preseason. We just wanted to compete with Louisville again…we’ve won 4 of 5 and the last 3 have just been beat downs.
We were worried about offensive play…well the changes made a year ago have led to us having a QB getting first round looks and all sorts of wideouts wanted to come in..
We just had a top 15 class and the year before a top 20. We were worried NIL would ruin this 2023 class…moves are being made and we’re getting another solid class it seems.
Basketball:
2020…the pandemic stole a tournament run from a team that won the SEC by 3 games. 2021…well that was a nightmare. We kept missing on recruits. We wanted Cal to get back to his old ways. We wanted shooting.
He made the changes last year….we had a great year and were ready for a title…we lost to a #15 seed. 2 teams we beat by 30+ away from Rupp Arena played in the National title game…
But the changes are showing…Coach O and Chin coming in seems to be working as the type of players we’re getting are a better fit. We’re on the cusp of a monster 2023 Class…like historic for even Cal. We have the NPOY returning to a very experienced team…with great recruits too.
It’s not gonna be perfect. I’ll probably get mad a few times…but Mitch, Cal, and Stoops is a trio that we need to appreciate now while they’re here…remember we had a time of Newton/Tubby/Mumme-Morris.
