Great Moments in Kentucky Basketball With Adolph Rupp album

Audio from Coach Rupp, Cawood Ledford, and Claude Sullivan - great way to pass the time during this COVID-19 isolation. My father had this record ... remember listening to it as a child in the '70's - great stuff.

I have listened to that 100+ times. When Vernon Hatton hits that shot with one second to go, the hair stands up on the back of my neck. My brother has the album.

Have the record as well. The great thing about Kentucky basketball is its unparalleled history. Yes UCLA had a dominant run in the 60s and 70s. Kansas, Duke, and North Carolina have nice programs. But Kentucky basketball has stood the test of time. Rupp, Hall, Pitino, Smith, Cal.

Like Al McGuire said: "They had it before you, they had it during you, they'll have it when you're gone."

Great album! Bought my copy at Freedom Hall at the shoot-around the day of the Notre Dame game back in December of 1978.
I love it when Adolph speaks for the first time after Cawood asks him about "the great players and great teams we've had here at Kentucky."

In that Kansan twang accent: "Well, Cawood, that would take a long, long time....."

I have the record never listened to it, don’t have a record player to listen to it.
