Grayson Allen just went full Laettner

that was a heck of a play though
it was an off balance, sideways kind of shot - used the glass
Not quite a Laettner thing - this was actually a good play

Yeah it was 10000000% a travel. Someone else can show a screen shot but his foot landed before releasing the ball. It's pathetic that a bad no call is what was the difference at the end of a game

Right foot was down before the release. Very close, but clear on replay. I can't remember replay rules, but I assume that is not reviewable.

I just commented on it in another thread. He took 3 steps before jumping and his foot touched the ground before the ball left his hand. Clearly a walk they missed, but at least it helps us with our win over them.

Clear walking violation, not reviewable per replay, just wonder if it will be mentioned in any recap of game.

I hate duke even more, only they would find a way to beat number 7 Virginia(who hasn't won there in 21 years) on a last second shot. To top it off their second son compares Allen and his shot compares to havlicek. Don't give him too much credit dukie v

Maybe that will be added to the rules next year. Doesn't help the losing team after the loss. Just like the missed call on the shot clock violation against Wisconsin didn't help us last year.
[eyeroll]

Never would of called it @ Cameron Indoor even if the refs were looking at his feet the whole time... not sure if theyd call it if the game was at Virginia

We have so few "good" wins, I'm ok if Duke steals a big one to help our resume

I think that's right. And unlikely any ref calls that a travel real time.
usually not
On Replay it does look like he walked though - but don't fault the officials for not calling it; not in this one instance. Last few seconds, home team -

There you go other poster. That was the 4th step. You leave the ground and land without shooting it counts as a step.

l Dukie V didn't see a walk and he is the top official. Nothing bad happens to duke ever with a one possession game and they have the ball. I hate duke more than ul. Which is tough I know. Btw how did Benedict kennard do today lol?

When broken down frame by frame it is plain to see, but real time it was too close and too fast to know for sure. Great drive to the basket by the Dukie...refs will never blow that call on a last shot unless it is plain as day and that was not during real time.
