I'm probably not in the best mood for this but I'll say at best C-
The defense once again looks horrible. Until last set of plays how many third down conversions did we give up? That's not Alabama or Auburn running the ball. And has Matt Elam done anything since coming here?
On offense what a mess. Towles was terrible. With accurate throws he could have had 300 yds at the half. Besides Booms first carry we finished first half with 8 carries for 20 yards

ULL's turnovers helped us win. They gave us two big penalties on the last drive. No way we should get outs outscored what, 24-0 for any stretch by anyone

Stoops has had time to get his system integrated. I'm seeing a lot more stars by names but not results. It's still a win but there needs to be players and coaches looking in the mirror tonight

thank goodness we didn't play a big time defense today. Watching A&M d vs a strong ASU offense we would have been killed. Let's see how we progress

Ive seen enough, Stoops indesicive coaching style is reminding me more of joker every day. Im not convinced he is a good in game coach or his system actually helps develop players at all into better players. Sure he
can recruit but the guy is a mediocre coach. We lucked out tonight.Brooks >>>> stoops. when it comes to coaching preparation, in game coaching, andtalent development. Isnt this guy supposed to be a defensive coach?

Something else we should keep in mind, going forward into the SEC. I'm not sure about the age of Lafayettes' roster but I'm pretty sure 19 freshmen in the two deep will not get it done in the SEC.

Take away the 3 running plays of 75, 32 and 38 and UK only averaged around 1.3 per play in 23 plays and completed 47% of the passes.

A solid B in the first half and a D- in the second half. Don't understand why when it was obvious to EVERYONE in the stadium that Patrick was struggling mightily in the second half that Barker wasn't given an opportunity? We got by tonight only because we were playing a Sunbelt Conference team. This staff can definitely recruit but they have got to get better at in-game adjustments or a promising season is going to quickly implode.

Towles knows where he is throwing it when he calls the play in the huddle. Too many balls thrown into coverage. Running game looks awesome, but that will dry up if the passing game does not sharpen up. D looked good till the offense started going 3 & out and the D tired out. I give them a B-. I think Louisiana is a pretty good team, and our effort last night could win 1 or 2 SEC games, but we need to got better to win 7 this year. I predict 6-6. Everyone who thought 8-4 is realistic, forget it.

D+; really disappointed by Towles, and gassed or not, the 2nd half defense. As far as the rushing attack was concerned, the lack of consistent success but occassional home runs kind of makes sense. They spent much of the game selling out to prevent Boom and any short passing game from grinding them. They paid for it in explosive plays earthbound and airborne... but should have been humiliated for it given the mismatch between their secondary and our receivers.

Overall D. i bet the ol' coach down in columbia was watching. i shudder to think how many points we give up next week if our defense is gassed in the second half like they were last night.

I am not cancelling Christmas yet. Towles will put it together better, or we might discover we have a better option when live rounds are flying.

C- I was very disappointed with this game (2nd half). We have got to learn how to put a team away when we have them down. Part of the problem was poor play calling in the 2nd half. We couldn't make the needed adjustments for the defense they threw at us in half. Towles looked bad. Also, why can't we ever make a stop on 3rd and short? I have more worries now. It felt a lot like last year's team in that 2nd half. Hopefully they get some things worked out before next Saturday.
